**Job Description**
**AECOM Hunt** is seeking a **Graduate Construction Project Engineer** to be based in Cleveland, OH .
This position is expected to begin in **Spring 2026.**
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
+ Monitor's subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations.
+ Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
+ Receives continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.
+ Receives technical and operational direction from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager.
+ Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management.
+ Assists with compliance of the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
+ Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate including but not limited to updating drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes and other documents as required.
+ When requested, interfaces with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction.
+ Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications, and company quality standards.
+ Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Candidate must have completed Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or similar major.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Prior Internship experience within the construction industry.
+ Experience working on a live construction site.
+ Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.
+ Experience engaging with multiple trades on a construction project.

Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Tunnel Geo-structural Engineer for immediate employment in Cleveland, Akron, Columbus, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, or Indianapolis, Indiana. This position requires interpretation of geotechnical data to prepare design calculations and produce drawings and specifications for earth retention systems, ground support systems, and underground structures which are ready for bidding and construction purposes.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Interpretation of geotechnical data and development of loads
Ground-structure interaction modeling and analysis of earth retention systems, ground support systems and underground structures
Selection and design of earth retention systems (steel, wood, concrete), ground support systems and underground structures using manual calculation and software
Drawing preparation of earth retention systems, ground support systems and underground structures, including detailing of primary and secondary structural members, concrete reinforcement, steel and concrete connections (e.g. weld design), and ground anchors
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PE license
6 years' experience analyzing and designing underground structures
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited program
BS in structural, geotechnical, tunnel engineering or related field
Experience with numerical analysis software such as PLAXIS and FLAC
Experience with shoring design software such as DeepEx and Shoring Suite
Experience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, SAP2000, Structure Point, and Enercalc
Experience with temporary earth structure design including developing earth loading scenarios for temporary works
Experience with deep shafts and earth ground support system designs (e.g. steel sheet piling, rib and lagging, secant pile, slurry wall)
Experience with permanent cast-in-place concrete shaft design
Experience working with construction clients
Heavy underground tunnel project experience

Our Waste Market Sector seeks a candidate who will lead the development and implementation of solid waste business strategies for our Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Delaware Waste Sector in coordination with the Waste Market Sector global leadership and local operational leadership. We have an opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join and lead the solid waste section of our rapidly growing Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Delaware team. Reporting to the PA/OH/WV/DE Resources Business Group Manager to advance the waste practice through solid waste specific service lines (e.g., facilities, landfills, organics, energy from waste, planning, etc.). The primary duties of this position include all aspects of engineering, project management, project pursuits, and client relationship management for projects primarily focused on the municipal solid waste (MSW), coal combustion residuals (CCR), and solid waste planning industries, with an emphasis on system planning, engineering analysis, cost estimating, design, construction management, pollution control systems, and permitting/regulatory compliance. Specific duties will include business development, proposal development, planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of waste systems, storm water controls, groundwater monitoring, and site layout/infrastructure elements (utilities, roads, support buildings, soil borrow areas, etc.).
In addition to leading and building a solid waste team, the Civil Engineer will function as a lead project designer, engineer of record, and project manager on mid-size to large projects, and is expected to demonstrate a history of progressive experience effectively leading similar scale projects. This person will be responsible for assisting team leadership in sustaining and growing client relationships and organizing and contributing to overall business development opportunities. A core component of this will be supporting upcoming project opportunities and participating in the project pursuit and proposal development, including developing scopes of work and budgets.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Civil Engineer are to conduct, supervise or direct a multitude of waste engineering projects. In this role, we'll count on you to:
* Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff.
* Establish client relations and be involved in business development, marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
* Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
* Implement QA/QC procedures.
* Work on a wide variety of MSW, CCR, or facilities related projects including but not limited to landfills, impoundments, compost facilities, transfer stations, material recovery facilities, household hazardous waste facilities, and organics facilities.

AECOM is actively seeking a Tunnel Geo-structural Engineer for immediate employment in Cleveland, Akron, Columbus, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, or Indianapolis, Indiana. This position requires interpretation of geotechnical data to prepare design calculations and produce drawings and specifications for earth retention systems, ground support systems, and underground structures which are ready for bidding and construction purposes.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Interpretation of geotechnical data and development of loads
Ground-structure interaction modeling and analysis of earth retention systems, ground support systems and underground structures
Selection and design of earth retention systems (steel, wood, concrete), ground support systems and underground structures using manual calculation and software
Drawing preparation of earth retention systems, ground support systems and underground structures, including detailing of primary and secondary structural members, concrete reinforcement, steel and concrete connections (e.g. weld design), and ground anchors
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PE license
6 years' experience analyzing and designing underground structures
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited program
BS in structural, geotechnical, tunnel engineering or related field
Experience with numerical analysis software such as PLAXIS and FLAC
Experience with shoring design software such as DeepEx and Shoring Suite
Experience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, SAP2000, Structure Point, and Enercalc
Experience with temporary earth structure design including developing earth loading scenarios for temporary works
Experience with deep shafts and earth ground support system designs (e.g. steel sheet piling, rib and lagging, secant pile, slurry wall)
Experience with permanent cast-in-place concrete shaft design
Experience working with construction clients
Heavy underground tunnel project experience

In the role of Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to
* Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team from schematic design through the design development and contract document phases of a project.

Primary Responsibilities
HDR is currently in need of a Project Manager to advance the planning, design and construction administration of water and wastewater facilities projects in Ohio. It is envisioned this candidate would have a mix of client development, project management, and project delivery responsibilities.

* Stay informed of engineering documents, vendor information and final design deliverables as needed from the client, design engineers and construction during all phases of the project.
* Work with the project execution team to develop and maintain accurate schedules using the Last Planner System
* During construction, the Lead Planner is accountable to lead weekly execution meeting activities but may require support from the Project Manager/Program Manager
* Hold Project Closing Debriefs with Client & Trade Partners if requested/required.

The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership support in project delivery, business development, and growth of HDR's Transportation Hydraulics Group in the state of Ohio.
Primary duties include (1) assisting the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in the development of strategic planning (2) oversight of technical project delivery, (3) quality control, (4) staff development and morale, and (5) business development and marketing support. The Ohio Transportation Business Group is active in aviation, transit, freight rail, highway and local roads market sectors.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the Transportation Hydraulics Group through increasing market share with existing clients and diversifying the client base.
* The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager will serve as Project Manager / Hydraulics Lead on key projects. This leader will participate in training, developing, and managing personnel.
* The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager will promote HDR through active engagement in professional organizations to increase industry visibility throughout the region. They will coordinate with area client managers and marketing staff to identify projects and contract opportunities with existing and new clients. They may directly coordinate with national business class leaders to leverage the full resources of HDR to expand service offerings and grow market share.
* Project Management duties will focus on projects related to state government, municipal, and local water resources clients. Our team focuses on hydrologic analyses, hydraulic modeling, and design for flood mitigation, stream restoration, and transportation drainage projects with opportunities to work on all project phases from program management to master planning, design, and construction. In the role of a Transportation Hydraulics Lead/Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
* Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams (roadway, structural, traffic, utilities, ROW, environmental) involved in the project, coordinate with all subconsultants, coordinate with the client, keep project on schedule, keep project within budget, perform or ensure that quality control is accomplished for each project, supervise highway/roadway design team or teams, and perform more complicated design work on larger projects.
* Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects.
* Perform project and task-level management, leading and directing technical staff, as well as hands-on project engineering for all phases on a wide variety of water resource projects.
* Manage/lead/develop H&H modeling including 1D/2D hydraulic models to support planning and design of a wide range of flood and transportation hydraulic projects including stream rehabilitation and restoration, complex culverts and bridges, floodplain impacts, and other hydraulic structures, and stormwater collection systems.

Primary Responsibilities
HDR is currently in need of a Project Manager to advance the planning, design and construction administration of water and wastewater facilities projects in Ohio. It is envisioned this candidate would have a mix of client development, project management, and project delivery responsibilities.
Candidates for this position should have experience directing project staff and will lead water/wastewater projects as a project manager.
