AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Deputy Traffic Operations Center (TOC) Floor Manager for immediate employment in Chesterfield, VA. This position reports directly to the Traffic Operations Manager, providing essential support and serving as a primary point of communication between staff within the assigned area and leadership.

Assisting with scheduling and oversight of regional TOC floor staff initial and recurrent training program

The Department includes staff who are primarily located throughout the southeastern United States serving Federal, State and Local governments as well as many private clients.

In this full-time role as an AECOM Field Services (AFS) employee, you will primarily work with the Site Manager to support remedial operations, maintenance, and monitoring projects at client facilities.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in general operations and environmental remediation/sampling. The process starts with the collection of the groundwater utilizing extraction wells. The water is then transferred to a central treatment system. Treatment by precipitation, settling, particulate filtration, and granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration takes place prior to effluent discharge.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Routine fieldwork (such as environmental multi-media sampling, operations, maintenance, and inspection of groundwater treatment equipment) working under close supervision and at times alone.
Sampling groundwater Influent and Effluent from groundwater treatment systems primarily for volatile organic compounds. Preparing chains-of-custody and sample cooler loading in preparation for transport to contracted analytical laboratories.
Performing various operations and maintenance activities associated with remediation systems involving extraction of organics, performing recovery system maintenance as needed, groundwater monitoring, and compilation of field data.
Assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment (sampling devices and pumps), inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
Driving AECOM-leased site vehicles.
Control treatment plant machines and equipment to treat water for industrial use: Operates and controls electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow of raw water into treating plant.
Monitor that specified amounts of chemicals are being supplied as required such as polymer into water or adjusts automatic devices that admit specified amounts of chemicals into tanks to treat the water.
Operate valves to regulate water through filter beds to remove impurities.
Monitor the pumping of treated water through the effluent / outfall.
Monitors panelboard and adjusts controls to regulate flow rates, loss of head pressure and water elevation, and distribution of water.
Cleans tanks and filter beds, using backwashing.
Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Tests water samples to determine acidity, color, and impurities, using colorimeter, turbidimeter, and conductivity meter.
Operate centrifuge as required to process solids.
Participate in amending / developing procedures (as needed) for the operation of the treatment facility.
Adhere to the site's General Site Conditions.
Adhering to the plant's O&M, Waste Management and Health and Safety Plan
Oversee contractors as directed.
Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software.

**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a Geologist II to be based in our Glen Allen, VA OR Virginia Beach, VA office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This position is expected to begin immediately.
The Geologist III will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment, soil gas, and surface water investigative and remediation programs, data analysis, and report preparation.
The role will be responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project-specific objectives and policies. The department is involved in many on-going efforts and continue to utilize top talent to exceed performance expectations.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
+ Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet client needs on schedule and within budget.
+ Utilize various techniques to generate data from remedial or investigative field work. Field work includes but is not limited soil/groundwater/vapor sampling, soil boring/monitoring well installations with various drilling techniques (i.e., DPT, HSA, sonic, air rotary, mud-rotary, etc.), operations and maintenance of remedial systems, etc.
+ Record and manage data in EQuIS (or similar) database

Job Description
AECOM is seeking experienced, creative, and highly talented Safety Service Patrol Operators across Virginia. These positions will be a direct report to the Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Supervisor and Management Team with direct public and multi-agency communications.
The responsibilities of the SSP include, but are not limited to:
Incident and disruptions in traffic detection.
Minimizing incident duration by participation of quick clearance techniques
Clearance of debris and/or obstructions from the roadways.
Establishing temporary traffic control for emergency responders and providing scene assistance as needed.
Reversible roadway and high-occupancy vehicle gate operations support to ensure safe and incident-free lane change functions (where applicable).
Conducting pre and post-trip checks.
Scheduling and shuttle SSP vehicles for maintenance.
Perform routine cleaning and restock consumables in assigned vehicle.
Provide motorist assistance services.
Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date training and certifications.
Other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management Team.
Works under direct supervision performing routine and repetitive duties.
On-the-job training is received in an area of technical specialty.
Patrol and monitor a segment of interstate roadway in an assigned region, looking for stranded motorist, roadway deficiencies, site distance problems and obstructions that may cause lane blockage.
Consistently ensure quality customer service through professionalism, timely response, skill and courtesy.
Abide by all Federal, State, and Municipal laws, rules and ordinances and maintain a clean driving record.
Give automotive gas and or diesel fuel to stranded motorist when needed.
Provide battery boost.
Provide minor first aid to injured if needed until more advance medical personnel arrive.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and or equivalent certificate (GED) or 1 year of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ability to drive, using an AECOM provided vehicle, patrolling and monitoring a segment of interstate roadway in an assigned region.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Virginia Department of Transportation fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
Possess a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record in the last 3 years, including no suspension of license or single violation that the department of motor vehicle treats as worth 6 demerits.
Employees must also participate in monthly MVR monitoring program and maintain a satisfactory driving record as a condition of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and successfully participate in the program's mandatory random drug screening process.
Work Environment/Physical requirements - Essential Functions
