Overview: In conjunction with the Ballpark Operations Department, members of the Janitor Crew are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Angel Stadium by performing various cleaning duties. The Janitor Crew is responsible for cleaning and detailing suites, restaurants, offices, and other premium areas of Angel Stadium. This is a bargaining unit position, and the pay rate is as follows: Current through 12/31/2025: $16.50 per hour Effective 01/01/2026: $16.90 per hour This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season). The schedule for this position is dependent on the game and non-game day schedules. Typically, the position hours are as follows: 5:00am to 1:30pm when there is a game that starts after 6:00pm, 4:00am to 12:30pm when there is a game that starts between 4:00pm and 5:00pm, 12:15am to 8:45am when there is a game that starts at 1:00pm. Successful candidates for this position must be able to work the scheduled start times listed above. Duties: Responsible for cleaning, maintaining and detailing all areas around the stadium; including offices, suites, restaurants, locker rooms, press rooms, etc., using various cleaning methods. Actively cares for all stadium equipment and property by storing equipment properly, cleaning and reporting broken or damaged items, and alerting management of any mistreatment of property. Maintain organized storage areas assigned to the Janitor Crew, as well as stock supplies throughout the building. Respond and resolve cleaning and setup issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and management. May be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, extractors, floor buffers, etc. Follows department procedures for use of cleaning chemicals and agents, operating cleaning equipment, maintaining assigned supply closets, operating vehicles, radio etiquette, handling of hazardous materials, etc. Perform other operational duties as assigned by supervisors or management. Qualifications Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and operation of cleaning equipment preferred Effective communication skills (verbal) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment around large groups. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with other employees and supervisors. Ability to work mostly day shifts including weekends, nights and holidays. Physical Demands Ability to continuously stand and frequently walk Ability to frequently bend and twist at waist Ability to occasionally sit, kneel, crawl and squat Ability to frequently climb stairs and ramps, bend and grasp using hands Ability to work in inclement weather Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
