Aegion CEO and leadership

Chuck was appointed President & CEO of Aegion Corporation in October 2014 after serving for five months as the Interim CEO of Aegion. Chuck’s involvement with Aegion began in 2009 with his appointment to our Board of Directors. Prior to his current role at Aegion, Chuck served as CEO of Natural Systems Utilities, LLC, as President and COO of Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. as CEO of Siemens Water Technologies, as President of the Siemens Water Technologies Systems Division and as President of USFilter’s Service and Products Division.

David joined Aegion in 2005 as our Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from the law firm of Thompson Coburn LLP, where he was a partner in its corporate and securities practice areas. He became our Chief Administrative Officer in 2007, was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2014 and appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer in November 2017. David was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2018, at which time he resigned his positions as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer.

John started with Aegion in 2013 and has nearly 20 years of experience in the accounting/finance sector in various roles. He majored in accounting at Southeast Missouri State University and has an MBA from Webster University. In his spare time, John can be found competing in extreme sporting events.

Ralph Western is a Senior Vice President & General Manager of Insituform Technologies at AEGION CORP, Chief Operating Officer of Infrastructure Solutions Platform at Aegion Corporation at AEGION CORP, and Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing at AEGION CORP and is based in North America. He has worked as Buiness Team Leader at International Truck and Engine, Business Team Leader at NAVISTAR INTERNATIONAL CORP, and Vice President and General Manager of Manufacturing at Insituform Technologies. Ralph studied at Minnesota State University, Moorhead between 1988 and 1992 and Indiana Wesleyan University between 1999 and 2001.

David is one of the original founders of Corrpro and was its President and Chief Engineer for many years. As a Registered Professional Engineer in a number of states, he has been active in the technical practices committees of NACE International and AWWA since 1971. David has over 40 years of experience in corrosion prevention, including materials performance, protective coatings, pipeline integrity, cathodic protection and AC/DC interference mitigation.

Jeff Schell is a Chief Operating Officer, Corrosion Protection at AEGION CORP and is based in Greater St. Louis Area. He has worked as General Manager at United Special Technical Services LLC (USTS); General Manager, Middle East at United Pipeline Systems, Inc.; and Chief Technical Officer at AEGION CORP. Jeff attended Colorado State University.
