Requirements:
3+ years of industrial controls/controls engineering experience within the manufacturing industry
Ideally, they will come from a foundry or true heavy industrial type of environment (metal processing, mill environment, something a bit dirty/messy).
Need to have SCADA experience.
Ability to work on an on-call basis - every other week.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilites:
Program, modify, and edit Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Fanuc Robots
Develop programming from scratch as well as implement, modify, and maintain existing programs
Serve as the go-to expert for advanced electrical troubleshooting beyond the scope of maintenance personnel
Act as the onsite Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all control systems
Provide expertise and hands-on support for SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
Ignition SCADA (by Inductive Automation) experience is preferred
Experience with any SCADA system (e.g., Wonderware Intouch, FactoryTalk, Simatic, Aveva Edge, GE iFix) is valuable
Utilize SCADA systems not just for monitoring but also to analyze process, operational, and system data

What You'll Do
You'll take a lead role in delivering complete I&C design packages-guiding design efforts, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of project deliverables. You will:
Develop full I&C drawing sets: wiring diagrams, loop sheets, installation details, network architecture, junction boxes, etc.
Lead and schedule design work for yourself and a small design team
Check work for compliance with specifications, standards, and the SOW
Perform and oversee drafting in AutoCAD (2D/3D) or Revit
Place instrumentation in 3D models using SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or Revit

What You'll Do

Assists in electrical equipment and device selection and layout, life safety equipment selection and layout, and develops equipment schedules.
Performs calculations for specific tasks defined by a discipline mentor.
Provides Revit design drawings of sketches prepared by other team members.
Participates in departmental and design review meetings.
With the assistance of discipline mentor, reads and understands drawings and specifications.
For the Intern Project, The Electrical Intern duties are:
Coordinates with other construction, architectural and engineering disciplines.
Selects appropriate power distribution equipment for the project.
Selects appropriate lighting for the project.
Provides load, voltage drop, conduit fill and photometric calculations; design and layout for power distribution equipment and lighting.
Creates Revit drawings, including one-line diagram, area plans, equipment details.
Circuits equipment in Revit to create panel schedules.
Conducts quantity take-offs and compiles an estimate of all related electrical components in the project.
Aids with the project proposal and presents final design to architectural, engineering, construction and marketing professionals in the office.
Required Education and Experience
Actively enrolled in a 4 or 5-year degree program in Engineering.
