We are seeking a professional addition to our team to provide project management oversight and leadership on environmental projects, design and implement subsurface investigation activities, mentor junior staff, prepare investigation reports, advocate for our clients with regulatory agencies, and support AEI's growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Provides mentorship and technical leadership within regional team + Project leadership and perform in the senior technical role on moderate to complex and mid to high budget projects + Responsible for ultimate project quality and budget control + Maintains relationships with regulatory agencies and ability to perform as a strong client advocate + Project professional and technical support at the business development, project management, staff and/or corporate level. As a Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include performing Property Condition Assessments of existing commercial properties, monitoring new construction or renovation projects, and assisting with energy and ADA audits. Working knowledge of these specialty services is a plus. Experience in performing Property Condition Assessments and writing technical reports is a plus.

The Project Manager position is a unique opportunity that will expose you to all building types and all building systems. You will have the opportunity to assess and report on the property condition of various commercial projects such as multifamily residential, office, hospitality, retail, industrial, educational, religious, educational, recreational, medical, and assisted living property types, as well as manufactured housing and marinas. The project manager should be familiar with the performance of building and site systems. Within Construction Risk Management, the Project Manager will assist our clients in identifying construction risks and keep them informed as to a project's construction status. Within Construction Risk Management, the Project Manager will assist our clients in identifying construction risks and keep them informed as to a project's construction status. This is an exciting position. No other position will expose you to all of the intricacies and stakeholders of the real estate development and delivery process. You will work on various commercial projects such as multi-family, office, hospitality, retail, and distribution/warehousing.

AEI Consultants is currently seeking a full-time mid to senior level Project Manager / Engineer to join our expanding Site Mitigation team. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of experience, including remedial engineering and investigation and activities.

In this role, you will mentor and manage technical staff and be responsible for leading remediation services for the NY/NJ regional office. Responsibilities will also include developing project scope, schedule and budgets for various projects, including field work and travel, as needed.

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

+ Civil or Environmental Professional Engineer license

+ LSRP (NJ) or LEP (CT), or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment, a bonus but not required

+ Experience as task manager on remediation projects and/or managing team of technical staff
