Position Summary
We are seeking a general maintenance professional to join our team at Aeon's 88-unit permanent supportive housing apartment community, Mary Hall. Mary Hall is a historic building in Downtown St. Paul, currently undergoing a complete redevelopment and is set to open in early 2026. Mary Hall will provide housing for veterans experiencing homelessness, individuals who are high-priority homeless clients, and others who need affordable housing. The MaintenanceTechnician will be responsible for all aspects of the physical operations of our apartment community that includes the responsibility to ensure that Aeon standards are met in each of the following areas: preventative maintenance, safety and security, physical condition, market appeal, customer service promises, and utility conservation standards. This position will also support the general upkeep of the property including regular trash removal and trash chute management. The MaintenanceTechnician will report directly to the Property Manager.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by performing a wide variety of general maintenance and repair functions including:
Plumbing
Electrical
Appliance repair
Air handler and general HVAC maintenance
Lock changes
Apartment turnovers
Preventative maintenance
Installation and repair of window coverings, doors, cabinets, light fixtures, etc;
Regular trash chute maintenance and management
Regular Inside/outside debris removal
Seasonal duties: light snow removal, salting/sanding
Skills & Qualifications
Must have a demonstrated skillset in general apartment maintenance.
Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend and kneel for extended periods.
Ability to conduct property tours and inspections including but not limited to walking through hallways, stairwells, leasing offices, common areas, and vacant or occupied apartment homes. This may involve navigating multiple floors and uneven surfaces.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to reach above and below shoulder height.
Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull.
Ability to work in varying external weather conditions
Ability to quickly respond to sights and sounds that may pose a threat to persons or property.
Certifications/Licenses
Candidate must currently have and/or be able to obtain the following certifications within the first six months of employment with Aeon. Aeon will support the MaintenanceTechnician with obtaining these certifications through training classes and/or by paying licensing/certification fees where applicable:

This position has a range of pay between $25-$28/hr depending on experience and skillset. This full-time position follows a Monday - Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. This is an in-person role based at the assigned property, with occasional work at Aeon's Central Office, training facilities, or other properties as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

Repair and perform preventative maintenance on machinery/mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. Applicant must have the ability to interpret drawings necessary for the installation of machinery and equipment.
