Position Summary:
The Electromechanical Production Technician is an entry-level production position that includes roles in various departments including Motors, Core Mechatronics, Electrical Assembly, Wiring and more. This on-the-job training role will align your strengths with a career path customized to your strengths and interests. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or transition to a hands-on technical career.
What will your day look like? At Aerotech, you could have the opportunity to:
Experience many different aspects of precision automation manufacturing while training on-the-job alongside experienced motor assembly, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical technicians
Participate in a structured career development program intended to provide the skills necessary to become an expert in the precision manufacturing industry
Read wiring and assembly drawings to determine product requirements
Assemble cables and cable harnesses using hand tools, power tools, and soldering
Route and attach wires to circuit boards, connectors, inline splices, and/or subassemblies using solder, crimp, and IDC termination methods
Assemble and test complex, high precision mechanical and electrical components using a variety of proprietary testing and measurement equipment and software
Assemble/Wire/Test precision motion systems
Operate additive manufacturing (3D printing) equipment in the production of Aerotech parts
Troubleshoot to determine the cause of malfunctioning products, work with peers and supervisors to find a solution, then perform modification and repair when necessary
Grow into more advanced roles throughout the organization as you develop skills and experience

Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist upholds the corporation's commitment to quality and continual improvement. This position collaborates with all departments to promote QA awareness and ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS). The QA Specialist manages the company's calibration process, coordinating services, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with QMS requirements. Additionally, the role provides as-needed support to QA leadership and Quality Engineers with the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, internal and external audits, continual improvement initiatives, and KPI monitoring.
Essential Functions:
Interfaces with all departments to ensure a constructive, efficient approach to QA awareness and adherence
Ensures adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS)
Manages Calibration process including maintaining calibration database, scheduling and coordinating calibration services, documenting and analyzing calibration data, and ensuring compliance with QMS requirements.
Manages onsite calibration visits by coordinating with and assisting calibration technicians and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient scheduling, preparation, and execution.
Provides as-needed support to QA leadership and Quality Engineers by assisting with CAPA process (Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions) in addressing quality-related issues.
Assists QA leadership in schedule development, individual audit planning, and conducting of audits as part of the Internal Audit process.
Assists QA leadership with facilitating Registrar audits of the QMS both in person and remotely.
Provides as-needed support to QA leadership with customer Quality Audits both in person and remotely.
Provides as-needed support to QA leadership in reviewing and implementing continual improvement initiatives.
Provides as-needed support to QA leadership and Quality Engineers by assisting with company-wide KPI monitoring, measurement, analysis, and reporting.
Pursues training and development opportunities to continuously build personal knowledge and skills and shares expertise with others.

Must be able to read the dry end schedule.
Make sure all products being produced is of acceptable quality standards with a goal of 100% perfection. Check, monitor and enforce all quality standards including proper unitization and tagging procedures.
Operate all Sheet line controls.
Make sure the machine and work areas are clean. Before the start of the shift inspect sheet line area for cleanliness and proper stocking and report findings to current control room operator. Must also make sure areas are clean and properly supplied at shift changeover to ensure the success of the oncoming shift.
Keep the dunnage area clean, neat, and stocked.
Respond to the bander when there are issues.
Make sure quality checks are being properly performed throughout the shift.
Work with Shipping to correct all issues in the rework area in a timely manner and ensure that no rework issues carry over into the following shift.
Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
Inform Control Room Operator of Overrun, Underrun or scrapped sheets/units.
When the machine stops because of a Dry End issue, should make sure that the line is clear so that the machine can start up after the issue has been corrected.
Provide On the Job Training as needed for new employees.
The Dry End will always work as a team. Operators are expected to help each other out when issues arise.
Regular and predictable attendance; Attendance must be always exemplary. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Education & Experience:
GED or high school diploma.
Corrugated experience.

Position Summary
As an intern or co-op, you will have the opportunity to join one of several specialized groups within our Software Engineering department, gaining hands-on experience by performing the same day-to-day responsibilities as a full-time entry-level engineer. These teams include:
The Enterprise Development Team (EDT):
Designs and implements software applications, libraries, and database queries that improve business/manufacturing efficiency, management decision making, and other strategic objectives. ERP and/or DevOps experience is a plus but not a requirement. Day-to-day programming involves C#, SQL, and some JavaScript.
The Application Development Team (ADT):
Focuses on the applications and front-end features/functionality of Aerotech's motion control software. This involves both the design and implementation of user interfaces with a focus on user experience, and the coding that interfaces with the lower levels of the software stack. Day-to-day programming involves C# coding and WPF UI development.
The Embedded/Motion Development Team (MDT):
Focuses on developing embedded motion, path planning, task scheduling, device driver, and communication algorithms that execute in a real-time operating system and interface with on-board hardware. They develop on a variety of embedded hardware platforms that include ARM and Intel processors. Linux experience is a plus but not a requirement. Successful candidates have experience with C or C++, have experience interfacing with hardware in some way, and have a passion for good software organization/architecture.
The Full Stack Development Team (FST):
Focuses on the support and infrastructure of all other teams in the software/hardware stack of Automation1. Always on the lookout to help - they are responsible for gluing together the different layers of the software/hardware stack for Automation1. This involves management of the middle software layers, APIs, code-generation, build procedure, and internal tools, as well as implementation at any layer of the stack as needed. Day-to-day programming involves C, C++, and C#.
Essential Functions
Develops new or modifies existing embedded, enterprise, library, or application level software under the supervision of experienced engineers
Debugs software problems involving Aerotech or third-party software products
Conducts tests to verify the implementation of new software features and validate use cases

Minimum Qualifications
Eligible students are those currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Science from an ABET accredited college or university
Must maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above.

Position Summary
The Applications Engineer (AE) in the Motion Solution Division provides technical analysis, consultation, and support to deliver optimal precision motion control and automation solutions for customers across industry, government, and academia. Program, set-up, and operate Okamoto, Kellenberger, Mazak, and other CNC grinding machines in a precision machine shop environment
Occasionally program, set-up, and operate form testers in order to inspect parts
Regularly produce newly designed parts. This involves workholding selection, part process decisions, programming from scratch or modifying a similar program, detailed first part inspection, and process writeups
Inspect parts with tight dimensional and form error tolerances, typically in the range of 0.000040-0.000300 inches (1-8 microns). You will use bore gauges, gauge blocks, granite surface plates, digital and dial indicators, form testers, and other precision measurement tools
Select, align, and secure workholding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories, typically to produce small batches of precision machined parts
What will separate you from the rest? Experience with:
Working with high precision, close tolerance ground parts
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T experience

What will your day look like? At Aerotech, you will
Program, set-up, and operate Mazak CNC machines in a precision machine shop environment
Regularly produce newly designed parts. This involves workholding selection, part process decisions, programming from scratch or modifying a similar program, detailed first part inspection, and process writeups
Inspect parts with tight dimensional and form error tolerances, typically in the range of 0.0002-0.0005 inches (5-12 microns). You will use bore gauges, gauge blocks, granite surface plates, digital and dial indicators, CMMs, and other precision measurement tools
Program and edit, set-up, and operate pallet changers, robot arms, bar feeders, and other automated load/unload equipment when medium or large batches are required
Select, align, and secure workholding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories, typically to produce small batches of precision machined parts
Retrieve and edit Mazatrol CNC programs. Or for new programs, calculate and set controls such as speed, feed, and depth of cut.
What will separate you from the rest? Experience with

Strong blueprint reading and GD&T experience
Precision part measurement and inspection tools (micrometers, electronic gauges, calipers and similar tools/equipment)
Effective electronic communication and general software experience
Minimum Qualifications
One-year certificate from college or technical school or apprenticeship program in Machine Shop technology; OR three or more years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of speeds and feeds for machining all types of metals
Knowledge of metric conversion; able to work in Metric and English units
Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Currently, machinists are working 50 hours a week of voluntary overtime on average

Position Summary

Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist upholds the corporation's commitment to quality and continual improvement.
