If you have experience working in a commercial setting doing carpentry work please apply! **Job description:** + Custom fabrication of exhibit components utilizing wood, plastic, laminates and metal. + Working on production sets + Candidates who have experience as a finish carpenter, custom cabinet builder, or set builder will do well + Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager + Work with the Shop Manager on assigned fabrication projects to support the exhibit assets + Assist with exhibit development and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process + Constructing carts and/or crates that ensure the safe transportation of exhibitions **Skills Desired** + 2+ years of experience in fabrication using wood, plastic and metal, or related work; being a talented hobbyist counts. + Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing or walking + Must have own basic carpentry tools + Well versed in various finished work such a laminate, melamine and moldings + Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and diagrams and adhere to quality building standards and specifications + Basic knowledge of math and measurements **Shift** + M-F 6-4:30 + Sat 6-2:30 **Work Environment + Benefits:** + Shop environment doing various construction tasks with team of 5-10 onsite + Weekly pay and health, dental, and vision **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.     Temp To Full-Time Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for Carpenters and Journeyman Carpenters to work for our clients in the Portland, OR., and Vancouver, WA., areas. Our positions are a mix of residential, commercial, interior and or exterior and utilize rough framing to finish experience. We are seeking applicants with a well-rounded background in construction that are interested in projects or a long-term position. We have multiple well-established clients waiting for us to find the right person for the job - if you'd like to learn more apply today! Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: All phases of construction from ground-up to remodel work. Framing - including wood and possibly metal. Finish work that could include door installation, flooring, cabinet install, trim install, tile and more. Travel to various job sites throughout the Portland Metro or Vancouver WA areas. We take into account your preferences on location wherever possible. Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years' experience with commercial and or residential construction. Experience with installation of doors, windows, cabinets, trim and specialty finishes. Wood and metal framing Interior and or exterior experience. Have your own hand tools for carpentry, some power tools are a plus. Blueprint reading and ability to follow and or give instructions. Reliable transportation with excellent attendance and ability to show up on time.     MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Cuts, shapes, and assembles wooden articles and sets up and operates a variety of woodworking machines, such as power saws, and jointers, cut, or shape lumber or fabricate parts for wood products; * Matches and gathers material of specified grain, color, and width for form design; * May attach hardware, such as caster, pulls, and hinges; * Positions cut frame parts, and glues, staples, and screws them together to fabricate cabinet frames; * May paint surfaces, using a spray gun; * Conform with all safety rules and use all required safety equipment; * Cleans work area using broom, shop vacuum, and/or mop to maintain a safe, clean working area; * Other support functions as required. * Minimum of one-year cabinet making, wood laminating, mechanical and carpentry skills required. * Knowledge in a manufacturing job shop. * Thorough knowledge of material characteristics and structural fundamentals. * Thorough knowledge and application of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. * Experience with all types of wood working equipment. * Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16" and do set-ups. * Laminating skills helpful; * Ability to work with supervision and direction KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: * Willing to operate a table saw, cut-off saw, air nails, spray gun, etc. * Must be willing to work within an environment containing dust, and high levels of noise * Must be active physically and able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time, sit, reach, climb, drive, and carry/lift up to 100 lbs. * Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as delivery of components dictate * Must meet respiratory fit requirements * Must be able to use a variety of tools including hammers, pliers, cutters, tape measure, air tools, etc.
