This role involves completing a variety of one-off and custom projects, machining metal, plastic, and some composites.
**Responsibilities**
+ Program CNC machines from scratch using CAD/CAM software (primarily WorkNC and HyperMILL).
+ Program controls to produce high-precision components, primarily using Heidenhain but also Fanuc and Fidia.
+ Create part models and generate toolpaths for CNC machining.
+ Set up machines, including tooling and fixturing, based on project requirements.
+ Ensure quality and accuracy of machined parts through inspection and adjustments as needed, including first-run parts and sample workpieces.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience with CNC 3 & 5 axis programming, setup, and operating machines independently.
+ Strong proficiency with Heidenhain controls; experience with Fanuc and/or Fidia is a plus.
