We are seeking a skilled Painter - Foreman to perform painting functions for industrial and commercial clients. The role involves working on both new construction and existing buildings, primarily focusing on interior walls with some exterior painting tasks. Projects are located within a 40-mile radius of Milwaukee. The work involves using brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply various paint coatings to industrial and commercial facilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform painting functions for industrial and commercial clients.

**Work Environment**

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is hiring an Industrial Painter to join our Phoenix team. This role focuses on surface preparation, coating application, and equipment upkeep in an industrial setting. We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality finishes, follows safety standards to the letter, and keeps rework to a minimum.
Pay: $25-$30/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift (5:00 AM-1:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, caulking, filling, or pressure washing as required.
* Apply masking to protect surrounding areas from overspray or drips.
* Mix and match paints and coatings according to specifications and data sheets.
* Apply primer, paint, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray systems.
* Ensure correct wet and dry film thickness (WFT/DFT) for each job.
* Inspect and correct coating defects to maintain quality and consistency.
* Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on pumps, hoses, and spray guns.
* Keep the paint booth and workspace organized, clean, and compliant with safety and inspection standards.
* Track progress, materials, and job times accurately for reporting and billing.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to stay on schedule and maintain production goals.
* Follow all PPE and safety protocols, reporting hazards immediately.
What You Bring
* Proven hands-on experience as an industrial painter, coatings applicator, or finisher (no degree required).
* Skilled in airless and conventional spray systems, mixing ratios, and equipment setup/teardown.
* Knowledge of coating application standards and surface preparation techniques.
* Ability to troubleshoot and maintain spray and plural component equipment.
* Detail-oriented with strong quality control habits.
* Dependable, safety-focused, and professional on every job site.
* Must provide your own basic hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, scraper, etc.).
* Must be 18 or older and able to pass pre-employment screening.
Maybe You Have:
* Experience applying industrial coatings, primers, or epoxy systems.
* Familiarity with SSPC standards or similar coating codes.
* Background in preventive maintenance on painting equipment.
* Solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations for coating applications.
Work Environment
This position is based in an industrial painting/coatings facility in Phoenix, AZ. Work includes exposure to paint fumes, dust, solvents, and heavy equipment. PPE is required at all times.
