**Responsibilities**
+ Install, assemble, and repair piping systems using copper sweating/soldering, brazing, and mechanical fittings.
+ Measure, cut, thread, bend, and prepare various types of pipe, including copper, steel, and PVC, according to specifications.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
+ Ensure all joints and fittings meet quality, safety, and pressure standards.
+ Install, maintain, and troubleshoot refrigeration piping circuits, including suction, liquid, discharge, and drain lines.
+ Work with refrigeration components such as evaporators, condensers, compressors, and expansion devices.
+ Perform leak detection, pressure testing, and system evacuations.
+ Charge refrigeration systems following EPA guidelines and industry best practices.
+ Follow OSHA, EPA, and industry safety regulations related to refrigeration, brazing, and pressurized systems.
+ Maintain a clean and safe workspace; properly handle tools, torches, gases, and refrigerants.
+ Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.
+ Coordinate with HVAC technicians, welders, project managers, and contractors to complete installations.
+ Provide updates on progress, issues, and required materials.
+ Train or mentor junior technicians when needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven experience as a pipefitter with emphasis on copper sweating/soldering and brazing.
+ Working knowledge of refrigeration piping and system layout.
+ Ability to use pipefitting tools: torches, benders, cutters, threading machines, gauges, and testing equipment.
+ Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
+ Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in commercial/industrial refrigeration or HVAC mechanical installations.
+ EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
+ OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
