We are seeking a dedicated Mill Tech Operator for our 3rd Shift, from 12pm to 12am, Sunday through Thursday. This role involves milling operations, ingredient management, and various administrative tasks. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our mill and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform grain testing, including DON testing, dockage, moisture, bushel weight, and foreign material analysis.
+ Conduct manual addition of feed ingredients and accurately record medication and vitamin usage.
+ Develop a basic understanding of animal nutrition and how ingredients interact with milling and grinding processes.
+ Clean and perform routine housekeeping of the mill.
+ Understand general mechanical duties needed for mill operations.
+ Navigate and use Laserfiche, The System, and WEM software as appropriate.
+ Maintain organized and orderly bag inventories.
+ Complete required training in a timely manner.
+ Perform other duties as determined by the Mill Manager or Mill Shift Supervisor.

**Responsibilities**
+ Operate Manual Welder to TIG weld components safely according to specifications.
+ Follow weld instructions and complete projects based on blueprints.
+ Understand and execute verbal instructions from manufacturing leadership regarding job orders.
+ Perform tack-weld functions to join metal workpieces at specified distances.
+ Inspect and record quality requirements of finished workpieces.
+ Ensure safe operation of welding processes using all safety devices and tools.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
+ Ability to read and work to set tolerances and work from blueprints.
+ Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
+ Basic mathematical skills are required to set-up and operate the welding process.
+ Ability to work in a team-fostered environment and to work overtime and weekends when needed.
