The Sr. Field Operations Manager plans, coordinates and conducts Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUAS), Tactical Missile System (TMS) and Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) training, field demonstrations, and customer service visits (CSV) both domestic and internationally.
Position Responsibilities:
Tracking of fielded assets, proposal writing, and budget management
Coordinates and works closely with multiple customers on training, demonstrations, and customer service visits, as well as various other operational requests worldwide
Interacts with the Airworthiness & Safety authorities as required to ensure airworthiness and safety standards are implemented
Identifies design and operational deficiencies and recommends improvements to Product Line Management
Manage Functional Area resource requirements
Ensure Company and customer data is protected in accordance with ITAR, security classification guides and company proprietary information procedures
Comprehend, communicate, and execute Field Operations priorities.
Collaborates with Program Managers, Engineers, Business Development and Product Line Management to ensure Field Operations involvement during all phases of planning, development, and fielding
Develops plans and policies, monitors operations, reports to and advises leadership team on all matters pertaining to field training and field demonstration events
Assists in development of operator manuals, checklists, FSR certification and currency programs as well as other internal and external training tools as required
Able to plan and execute a dynamic schedule and solve rigorous and last-minute customer demands
Coordinates with Trade Compliance on international training and demonstrations to ensure compliance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor's degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Engineering or Management required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
12+ years' experience in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Tactical Missile Systems operational use and training for commercial and military customers, including recent operational experience with SUAS, TMS or UGV products
3+ years of formal instructor experience
U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.

Job responsibilities include:
Support the evaluation of requirements adhering to Human Factors best practices and specified sections of MIL-STD-1472.
Facilitate the customer's product vision by conceiving, sketching, and prototyping experiences for digital products with a user centered design approach and consideration to HMI and Human Factors principals
Be flexible and iterate designs in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
Use one or more industry standard design and prototyping tools to create wireframes, visual designs, and interactive prototypes
Leads, enables, and is accountable for the preparation, improvement, and integration of the human interface design visuals for the organization
Confer with subsystem engineers and subject matter experts for project details regarding background information, project parameters and objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques
Collaborate closely with software developers and stakeholders to ensure that user-centered design is integrated throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to final implementation.
Collaboration with Design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure evolving design addresses program needs and adheres to Human Interface design requirements
Contributions to Human Factors Analyses (including but not limited to: Task Analyses and Predictive Workload Analyses, Usability studies, Workload, and Situational Awareness surveys).
Conduct computer based (NX) and empirical accessibility assessments from both an operator and maintainer perspective.
Implement and utilize Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies, using tools like Gherkin and Cucumber, to validate the design and functionality of user interfaces and enhance automated acceptance testing.
Manage configuration of human factors work artifacts and maintain version control using Git.
Author/support the program documentation of the HFE processes and products in a format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions (e.g. Human Engineering Program Plan, Human Engineering Design Approach Document - Operator, Human Engineering Design Approach Document - Maintainer, Human Engineering Test Plan, Human Engineering Test Report, et. Al).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience in a Human Factors related field; or a Master's degree and 10 years of experience in a related field; or a PhD and 8 years of experience in a related field.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing, administering and/or analyzing Human Factors questionnaires such as Usability, Workload, and Situational Awareness.
Proficiency in writing and executing demonstration & test procedures
The ability to clearly and accurately express engineering findings orally and in written technical reports and presentations.
Familiar with the interpretation and application of systems safety, personnel survivability, and habitability requirements to system design
Experience with CAD Tools (NX and NX Jack Expertise preferred)
Experience with system engineering processes and tools (CAMEO preferred)
Primary Level Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $244,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
