The primary responsibility of the ProductionTechnician II will be to test/assemble Small Unmanned Arial System products in our manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system.
Position Responsibilities
* Primary duty is the mechanical assembly of subassemblies using small hand and/or power tools. Some soldering may be required
* Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles
* Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies
* Works with other ProductionTechnicians and Engineering to correct and improve upon any documents related to the assembly process at the required high quality standard
* Works with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs and validate released assembly/ fabrication documentation
* Responsible for ensuring that work order protocols are followed and that work order paperwork is completed as the work is performed
* May also train other technicians to build a product or follow an established assembly process
* May conduct in-process quality checks to ensure that items built are to established high quality standards
* Follows established procedures on routine work and may require instruction on new assignments
* Maintains a clean and safe work environment
* Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
* High School diploma or GED equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools is required
* Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desired
* Ability to solder as part of assembly function and duties
* Must have good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills
* Must have strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the Company
* Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
* Vocational training in Electronics or Solder Certification is preferred
* Versed in Lean Manufacturing methodologies is desired
* Familiarity with Safety and ESD practices is desired
* Work with engineering on new product development efforts where documentation and assembly instructions are not yet finalized

Position Overview:

Diagnose, repair, and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related systems.
Proficient knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications.
Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in installation and repair of mechanical, electrical, pumps, and valve cluster arrangements required.
Experience with VFDs, control systems (PLC's/HMI's), electrical protective devices with some knowledge of calibration procedures and equipment.
Skilled in the application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools. 480v 3 phase knowledge required.
Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability, electrical a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred.
2+ years' experience and demonstrated history of troubleshooting and repairing equipment (described above), personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices. Allen Bradley and/or Siemens experience preferred.
Skilled in the machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment - i.e. verniers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.
Skilled in welding, sanitary welding, pipe fitting, soldering, and rigging is desired
The pay range for this position is
$34.14 - $40.96
per hour. The Diesel Mechanic reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager and Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor. The Diesel Mechanic is personally responsible for providing proper diagnosis and repair of any mechanical issues to the existing operation fleet.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role requires the operator to perform the following:
Stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts up to 50 lbs.
Perform repetitive motions with the hands/wrists/arms.
Bending, twisting, and reaching to access the materials and machine components.
Pushing or pulling heavy carts or dollies.
Occasional climbing, balancing, and stooping to perform maintenance or adjustments to equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role will require willingness to work in an environment:
noisy and dusty environment
exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
The work area may occur in non-air-conditioned facilities.
