The Data Analyst II role is an intermediate role, responsible for gathering, cleaning, and analyzing data to provide insights that drive business decisions. Works with structured data, performs descriptive analytics, and create reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. Assists with data preparation tasks and contributes to the development of data models. This role is expected to demonstrate expertise in the following:
Responsibilities
Data analysis: demonstrates awareness of how to approach a variety of data questions. Leverages appropriate analytical tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, and/or python) to achieve business objectives in both the preparation of data and the creation of new, meaningful metrics of interest.
Data cleaning: works effectively to transform raw data to a usable format. Is mindful of the knock-on business implications of transforming different data points and takes these into account in disseminating the data within the team.
Data visualization: creates visualizations of data that inform action, drive business strategy, and directly answer stakeholder/business needs.
Data infrastructure: demonstrates broad awareness of VC data or knowledge of where to find salient information in addressing stakeholder needs. Consistently works to expand awareness of data fields that exist within our database.
Stakeholder engagement: communicates results of analyses effectively to broad variety of audiences. Demonstrates ability to incorporate context of individual audiences into data products through a bias for interaction with stakeholders.
Quality assurance: adheres to industry-standards of data practices. Actively prevents erroneous data from reaching stakeholders.

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
2+ years of analytical experience or equivalent. Proven broad analytics skills.
Some experience leveraging BI tools (e.g. Tableau) and has a clear understanding of business processes and metrics.
Needs a combination of technical and business skills, including data modeling, data visualization, and domain knowledge.
Experienced in distilling and communicating data through summary tables and visualizations (predominantly through Excel and Tableau)
Demonstrates ability to directly query source data through SQL.
Basic experience writing code (preferably in python)
Leverages critical thinking and collaboration skills to determine how to approach and solve problems with a team.
Manages time effectively. Demonstrates ability to work within established deadlines and manage multiple data requests and projects.
Produces high quality of work with some supervision.

Position Summary
The Transformer SME provides technical support and guidance to the Regional Engineers, System Intelligence, field crews, and C&M Supervisors for issues associated with transformers (both T/T and T/D), regulators (both single-phase and three-phase), instrument transformers (primary-side only), and ancillary components (e.g., bushings). Responsibilities
The following is a summary of the major tasks expected to be performed by this position:
Works with System Intelligence to provide evaluations and interpretation of Transformer test results and the trending.
Works with System Intelligence to recommend proactive maintenance tasks to Equipment Engineering for Transformer and Regulator equipment to mitigate recurring problems and potential failures.
Provides field support for troubleshooting, adjustment, repair, and replacement of Transformer, Regulator, and other ancillary components
Assists Region Engineer with outage analysis, documentation, and follow-up
Provides support and/or operation for discipline specific test equipment needs and training
Provides forensic analysis on failed parts and equipment, including support for Root/Apparent cause investigations
Works with System Intelligence to record transformer and regulator failures and assign failure codes for tracking and trending.
Performs substation, mobile (portable), and equipment condition assessments
Works with System Intelligence to evaluate the performance and reliability of Transformer and Regulator assets and identifies/mitigates the system and/or equipment issues that may impact system reliability.
Establishes working relationships with industry organizations and counterparts within other utilities to learn about industry trends/practices and to share information regarding equipment and maintenance initiatives
Evaluates equipment being removed from service for future disposition
Assists System Intelligence in evaluating Condition Based Monitoring equipment/data and works with vendor to assist in repairs.
Acts as liaison between Asset Management and C&M Substation Supervisors/technicians.
The following are secondary roles and responsibilities to be performed by this position:
Supports equipment commissioning
Supports equipment commissioning
Provides feedback to appropriate Engineering organization on first-time equipment deployment. (Equipment engineering takes the lead for warranty work.)
Supports Equipment Engineering and manufacturers on equipment issues.
Assists with mobile equipment installation as needed.
Assists Equipment Engineering in developing maintenance PM priorities when needed.
Leads or participates in Root Cause Investigations
Serves on Duke Energy teams to provide asset-related experience and knowledge
Assists in providing guidance on job plans and procedures
Assists/supports TSS and training department with training for Transformers, Regulators, and other ancillary components
Assists Critical Part Coordinator SME with material selection for maintenance repairs as needed.
Assists Critical Part Coordinator SME with validation for stocking of critical parts inventory.
Assists Equipment Engineering in validating the equipment sparing strategy including stocking of critical spares.
Provides Work Management and Data Management support for system programs and other projects as follows:
Analyzes data for work prioritization
Provides review of contractor test data as needed
Provides input to Equipment Engineers for the revision of job plans and procedures.
Support as needed emergent/emergency projects for failed equipment (i.e. scope and estimates, sponsorship, etc.)
Assists System Intelligence in managing the implementation of the Transformer Health & Risk Management (HRM) Program
Supports TSS and training department on ongoing training for new power equipment, special test equipment, Condition Based Monitoring Equipment, etc.
Basic/Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program, or Professional Engineering License, with a minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience
Nuclear may require either Professional Engineer registration, a Masters Degree in a technical discipline, SRO certification, an RO or SRO license, or Technical Nuclear certification
A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the utility industry
12 years or more of related Transmission experience
Transformer design and field work experience
Superior problem solving and analytical skills
Expert working knowledge of the transmission equipment, systems & associated safety policies, practices, and work procedures

HII: Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Kubernetes based solutions in hybrid and data center environments. What you will do
Architect, deploy, and maintain production grade Kubernetes clusters in data center and hybrid cloud environments.
Advise on and implement Crossplane to manage cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes APIs.
Lead the design and enforcement of policy as code using Kyverno, aligning with security, compliance, and governance requirements.
Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, and security teams to integrate Kubernetes into broader CI/CD workflows.
Define and document best practices, operational runbooks, and onboarding materials.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Kubernetes environments.
Provide mentorship and training to engineering teams on Kubernetes tooling and patterns.
Evaluate and implement open-source and commercial Kubernetes extensions.
What we are looking for: Minimum Qualifications
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
5+ years of experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
Proven experience implementing Kyverno policies for governance and compliance.
Hands-on experience with Crossplane for infrastructure orchestration.
Expertise in Linux systems administration and networking.
Proficient with Helm and GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux).
Experience deploying Kubernetes on bare metal or VMs in a data center setting (OpenShift).
Familiarity with Kubernetes security (RBAC, Pod Security Standards, admission controllers).
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with OpenShift and understanding of its policy engine (e.g., Gatekeeper or Kyverno equivalents).
Contributions to open source Kubernetes projects or SIGs.
Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
Familiarity with infrastructure platforms like AWS, Oracle, GCP or Azure via Crossplane providers.

The Senior BP&A Analyst is an integral team member dedicated to analyzing and reporting detailed refinery value chain outcomes, delivering insights into refinery performance to support informed decision-making. This role involves ongoing collaboration with Value Chain Optimization (VCO) to ensure alignment with analytical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Understands refinery operations and business drivers to link operational changes and market trends to financial outcomes.
Reviews month-to-date refinery gross margin performance against established benchmarks and contributes to the preparation of weekly executive-level reports.
Provides analysis of impacts to gross margin in comparison to MPCs externally reported margin indicator
Collaborates with VCO, Refining BP&A and Consolidation BP&A to report impact of monthly lost profit opportunity to internal and external capture
Maintains refinery index and analyzes key drivers of index to crack deviations
Determines the breakeven crack spread for individual refineries, regions and Refining & Marketing segment
Contributes to long-term business plans and short-term forecasts for refinery gross margin and conducts analysis of actual performance versus forecasted results.
Works with the Regional Director of Value Chain Optimization, operating groups, and BP&A teams to prepare quarterly Value Chain P&L reviews and provide performance insights to Refinery Leadership.
Tracks financial impact of VCOs Continual Commercial Improvement efforts
Actively seeks and implements ways to enhance processes, systems, or automation to provide more time for in-depth analysis and commentary
Supports ad hoc requests of management and VCO for the refinery value chains
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline required.
Six (6) years in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Experience in BP&A and Commercial Roles preferred.
