Senior pricing analyst job at AeroVironment
The **Sr. Pricing Analyst** prepares various types of proposals for development, production, and competitive contracts works on large/complex proposals. One has a strong understanding of estimating & pricing principles and demonstrates application through hands-on experience. In this role, the Sr. Pricing Analyst leads and supports reviews of all estimates prior to delivery and review by senior management. This position can be anywhere in the U.S. within a 50 mile radius of an AV office.
**Position Responsibilities**
+ Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance to customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy
+ Provides regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and presents costs estimates to management, customer representatives and government audit agencies
+ Prepares and validates cost estimates for sustainment, engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts and vendor data, parts & equipment
+ Identifies cost and price risks and applies to estimates where applicable
+ Supports DCAA audits and assists with contract negotiations as necessary and liaises between operations and other support organizations for estimating instructions and pricing
+ Performs analysis of cost estimates identifying inconsistencies and issues. Develops different cost estimation projects and procedures for final approval by management
+ Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
+ Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)
+ Other duties as assigned
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)**
+ Bachelor's degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
+ Minimum 8 - 12 years of related experience in Estimating and/or Finance
+ Experienced in and knowledge of MS Office Suite (intermediate Excel skills required)
+ Requires strong project management skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet proposal milestones
+ Is working-group oriented and possess the following: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret complex data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems; (2) analytical, verbal and written communication skills; (3) strong computer skills
**Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies**
+ Advanced degree is preferred
+ Demonstrates competency in effective team leadership and driving projects
+ Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties

The salary range for this role is:
$108,275 - $153,615

Job Summary:
* Identify and troubleshoot maintenance and repair problems and recommend correct procedures to correct problems.
Consult manufacturer's representatives and technical bulletins and manuals as resources or by experience to determine the correct solution. Monitor repair by riding with the driver, viewing the vehicle or communicating with the driver to ensure the correct procedure was completed.
Work closely with vehicle component representatives to resolve problems. Monitor results through communications with drivers and mechanics to ensure the resolution of problems.
* Identify and Monitor Warranty Related Repairs
Work closely with Sunoco Mechanics and outside repair mechanics to monitor and identify any warranty-related repairs. Work closely with component representatives to identify warranty reimbursement.
Knowledge of various warranty policies that exist on parts and equipment.
Identify warranty repairs by working closely with component representatives to ensure cost of warranty repair is covered or cost is recovered by Sunoco. Report warranty reimbursement to the Truck fleet manager.
* Responsible for compliance for State and Federal DOT regulations for garage operations.
Monitor Sunoco's compliance with State and Federal DOT regulations for garage operation.
Assist Truck Fleet Manager in securing vehicle registrations and titles and permits from various States by interacting with State and Federal agencies. Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations to provide technical advice to mechanics and drivers. Identify DOT resources to determine correct regulations. Communicate compliance with Sunoco mechanics. Knowledge of State and Federal License and title requirements.
* Handle maintenance and safety training for Sunoco mechanics. Required maintenance training for external garage mechanics working on Sunoco vehicles.
Schedules required maintenance and safety training for Sunoco Mechanics and outside garage mechanics performing work on Sunoco Vehicles.
Assist in identifying updates or changes in Sunoco's vehicle specifications.
Provides training with most current training materials and equipment. Work with Truck Fleet Manager to implement required changes in vehicle specifications. Monitors expected operation of implemented changes through communication with mechanics, drivers and vehicle inspections to make sure changes are operating as desired.
* Monitior Sunoco's maintenance policies and procedures for garage operations.
Assist Truck Fleet Manager in any required policy or procedure change.
Monitor compliance with Sunoco's HES policies and procedures in the garage operation. Hold garage visits or meeting to communicate polices and procedures to Sunoco mechanics.
Assists in identifying any required changes or updates and reports to Truck Fleet Manager. Makes recommendations on course of action to implement any changes necessary.
Work with Sunoco's HES department representative to ensure their understanding regarding garage-related issues so policies are written with an adequate understanding of equipment, regulations, and manpower.
* Monitor and track vehicle maintenance expenses.
Tracking trends in vehicle maintenance expense and identifying cost overruns. Recommend changes and assist in implementing them as required. Monitor maintenance expenses, work with the Truck Fleet Manager to identify cost overruns, and implement required changes to maintain acceptable vehicle maintenance expenses.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree with 2 - 5 years of experience or equivalent experience.
* Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and/or government DOT and HM regulations.
* Must be a self-starter and be able to work alone or in a team environment.
* Strong computer skills, good prioritization skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Heavy duty truck, tractor, and trailer maintenance and operational Trade School training, technical training or equivalent work experience.
* Heavy-duty truck Inspection Certificate.
* Completed coursework or equivalent certification from Automotive or Truck Repair Trade School,
* Technical training or equivalent work experience in repair, maintenance and operations of tractors, trailers and fleet trucks.
Preferred
* Basic college courses, two-year degree (Management, Logistics).

The Customs and FTZ Tax Operations Analyst is a skilled professional responsible for ensuring and strengthening compliance with Customs and International Trade regulations, with a particular emphasis on imports and foreign trade zone operations. The role demands deep technical knowledge of Customs and International Trade regulations, and proficiency in imports, foreign trade zone operations and tariffs. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with key stakeholders, U.S. Customs, and outside advisors. Robust analytical skills and ability to multitask are required to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for this role demonstrates expertise both within the company and the broader industry, leveraging relationships to achieve results.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining company-wide trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Oversee and ensure timely preparation and completion of customs filings and documentation, including classification, valuation, country of origin, duty mitigation and recordkeeping requirements for multiple entities and foreign trade zone operations.
Advise internal stakeholders on trade requirements affecting transactions and contracts.
Serve as a primary contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities for imports and foreign trade zone operations.
Perform audits, assessments, and internal reviews to identify and correct compliance gaps.
Oversee and ensure compliance with CTPAT and CTPAT Trade Compliance program requirements, including annual validations, risk assessments, and partner outreach.
Assist with or coordinate required governmental and internal reporting obligations.
Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, sanctions updates, and emerging trade compliance risks.
Assist in providing training to employees on trade compliance policies and best practices.
Support duty optimization strategies, including FTZ, drawback, duty deferral, and trade preference programs.
Represent the company in meetings with counterparties, third-party stakeholders, and government agencies, while developing and maintaining strong, cooperative working relationships.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Major Discipline: Accounting/Business/Finance/related
field) or five (5) years of working for a multi-state enterprise with an
understanding of indirect tax (e.g., property, sales/use, customs) tax
rules and regulations
Minimum Experience Requirements:
• Two (2) to Three (3) years of progressive experience in tax preparation and filing, or equivalent skillset level with greater than
three (3) years of experience.
• Experience with application of tax rules and regulations.
• Experience collaborating across all functions.
• Experience with written and oral communication of tax issues to non-tax team members.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
