Duties
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive supplier quality strategy, aligning with overall company goals and objectives.
Foster strong partnerships with key suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for escalated quality matters and fostering collaborative problem-solving.
Conduct thorough assessments and audits of supplier capabilities, quality systems, and processes to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
Drive advanced root cause analysis and the development of robust corrective/preventive action plans for complex quality issues, demonstrating deep technical expertise.
Oversee the qualification process for new suppliers, evaluating their technical capabilities, manufacturing processes, and quality systems to ensure alignment with stringent quality expectations.
Establish and manage supplier quality metrics, utilizing data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in supplier performance.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, and Procurement to ensure seamless alignment on quality requirements and effective resolution of technical challenges.
·Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their growth and enhancing the overall expertise of the department.
Innovate and develop advanced methodologies, tools, and approaches for optimizing supplier quality processes and driving continuous improvement.
Lead complex supplier transitions, implementing effective strategies for smooth process handovers and minimizing disruptions.
Conduct in-depth quality and process audits at suppliers' sites, overseeing approval of intricate Supplier Quality plans.
Play a pivotal role in product realization by participating in critical drawing reviews, readiness assessments, and ensuring suppliers are aligned with requirements.
Lead and manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) at supplier locations, ensuring meticulous compliance and readiness for production.
Drive strategic initiatives for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and successful product introductions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Apply advanced quality methodologies such as SPC, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and provide guidance on interpreting intricate engineering specifications.
Participate in high-level Product Readiness Reviews (PRR) and coordinate final inspections, demonstrating expertise in maintaining compliance and quality.
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, interacting professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including effective communication with senior management.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, supplier quality management or supplier development in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.
Strong understanding of quality management principles, supplier assessment methodologies, and quality control processes.
Experience in conducting supplier audits and effectively managing supplier corrective action processes.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR regulations.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for supplier visits and audits (up to 70%)
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Experience in the aerospace or defense industry is preferred.
Master's degree in engineering or quality Management is a plus.
Familiarity with the following standards and specifications - J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) are highly desirable.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and practices to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of successful supplier development and collaboration on engineering design changes.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to handle challenging situations with suppliers effectively.

The salary range for this role is:
$102,708 - $145,530

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing supplier development and quality assurance activities across a defined supply base. PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Customer Quality Manager is accountable for the substantial timely management, tracking and coordination of any customer related quality topics in the US. The position ensures alignment and close teamwork with the customer quality team at the headquarters, supporting fast communication, a unified direction and mindset.

Applies statistical methods to track, trend, and analyze quality data related to non-conforming products reported by customers.
Interfaces with international colleagues in the continual improvement of product/system/solution quality.

REQUIRED RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering or electrical engineering (Master's preferred) or related field, or similar education
At least 10 years of experience in the customer quality management field in a manufacturing environment
Expertise in 8D method for corrective action and the quality tools 5-Why, Ishikawa diagramming, and pareto analysis.
Profound project management skills especially including action tracking and special project management.
Excellent communication skills in negotiations with critical / opposing parties.
Ability to present information to formal mid/high-level management boards on quality issues.
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Radiant is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer responsible for the onboarding, qualification, auditing, and ongoing development of suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable nuclear and industrial quality codes and standards. This role will help build a world-class, compliant, and reliable supply base capable of delivering high-quality, safety-critical components for our micro reactor systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow subject matter expertise within highly regulated industries.
Responsibilities
Lead the supplier onboarding and qualification process, including pre-assessments, audits, and capability reviews.

The Quality Engineer is an integral team member of the RRPS Mankato value stream, pivotal to ensuring product quality through expert data analysis and production quality control. This role is responsible for resolving systemic issues, assuring new product quality, and supporting continuous improvement to uphold strict compliance standards.
Key Accountabilities:
* Quality Data Analysis: Support the analysis of production quality & product warranty data for the Mankato value stream, including separating normal vs. special cause variation in trends to proactively identify & resolve systemic issues / concerns / quality detractors.
* Production Quality Control: Direct support of the Mankato value stream with accurate and timely determination of assignable causes and validated corrective actions for escalated production quality (line call) and customer quality (site call) issues, leveraging established processes for internal (quality notifications; q-note) & external supply chain (SCAR) issue resolution and quality control evolution. Occasionally providing direct support to the Mankato production team for initial quality issue definition and authoring q-notes.
* Systemic Quality Issue Resolution: Support the Mankato value stream with warranty cluster identification, root cause analysis, and resolution (FiRe), with successful broadcasting of quality issue escape resolution tactics (correction in field (CiF) in conjunction with Mankato Customer Quality & Service Engineering. Work with global team members to implement issue reoccurrence prevention tactics.
* Quality Assurance: Support the global development of new products for the Mankato value stream, ensuring quality assurance functional deliverables are completed by the established quality gates.
* Personal & Product Compliance: Maintain awareness of specifications, regulations, and industry standards that affect the quality of the Mankato value stream's products. Represent the Mankato Operations Quality department during internal & external audits, facilitating as necessary. Promote a compliance culture and live the letter & spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
* Continuous Improvement: Support the evolution of the Mankato Operations Quality team's capabilities through the procurement and maintenance of calibrated gauges and measurement equipment and high-quality mechanical tools. Lead machine capability studies and measurement systems analysis for the Mankato value stream. Train and mentor peers and teammates to pragmatically develop competencies.
* Lead or support special projects as required.

Basic Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Quality Engineering plus 3 years of professional experience in a QA or QC role, or 7 years of professional experience in a QA or QC role.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Evaluation and application of common statistical data analysis techniques and tools for decision making, including statistical process control (SPC) and the associated Shewhart rules, process capability analysis, statistical sample size & power planning, design of experiments (DoE), probability analysis, structured root cause analysis (5-Whys, fault tree analysis, fishbone analysis) and A3 / 8D based structured-problem solving, and internal (NCP) and external (SCAR) non-conforming material management.
* Analysis of common key performance indicators for production quality, cost, and on-time delivery, advanced product quality planning (APQP), production part approval process (PPAP), quality control plans with acceptable quality levels (AQL) and first article inspection with appropriate metrology (including MSA & GR&R), and risk mitigation tactics such as failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
* Strong written & verbal communication & interpersonal teamwork skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and with external customers with open candor, integrity, and professionalism. Demonstrated intrinsic drive for high quality, dependability, and reliability. A lifelong learner.
* Ability to work flexible hours or shifts and adapt to various work environments.
* Proficient with PC and Microsoft 365 Professional suite.
