AESC company history timeline

1994

In 1994 AESC’s Board of Directors convened a Special Task Force on Diversity to identify ways by which member firms could further increase the diversity of their professional staffs.

According to the Task Force’s 1994 Diversity Study press release, “Changing attitudes amongst search professionals were echoed by an increasingly powerful client commitment towards diversity hiring and management.

2004

In 2004, AESC adopted a new governance structure whereby three regional councils elect five representatives to sit on its international board.

2007

With honors in 2007, the Chesapeake Energy Company became the new sponsor, rebranding the club to Chesapeake Swim Club.

2011

The Nissan LEAF won the “World Car Of The Year 2011” award

2014

In March of 2014, Chesapeake Swim Club was able to forge a new corporate sponsorship with Aubrey McClendon and American Energy Partners, LP to rename the organization to American Energy Swim Club.

In recognition of the expanding role of member firms AESC embraced leadership consulting in its identity, and in 2014 changed the name of the organization to the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants.

2015

August 2015 AESC began selling mobile power charger, the Po-Chiku and Po-Chiku big.

2017

By 2017, global executive search and leadership consulting revenues would grow to $14 billion.
