Carolyn has also served in several leadership roles within the Medicare and Medicaid businesses of UnitedHealth Group. As Chief Operating Officer of UnitedHealth Group’s Community and State plan in New Jersey, Carolyn drove a financial and cultural turnaround and grew membership to more than 400,000 beneficiaries. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Medicare Special Needs Plans, serving as the national product lead for health plans tailored to individuals with chronic illnesses and limited incomes. Early in her career Carolyn was a management consultant both in the Strategic Change Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers and in the health and life sciences division of Silverline Technologies. Carolyn earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and her MBA in healthcare management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
