Mr. Roberts is the CEO of Avports, America’s most experienced and trusted airport operator and manager. Avports is currently owned by West Street Infrastructure Partners III, a family of infrastructure investment funds managed by the Merchant Banking Division of The Goldman Sachs Group.

His airport management and P3 (public-private partnership) investment career spans over twelve years. He previously led business development for the Carlyle Airport Group (CAG Holdings, the Carlyle Group’s airport platform), where he served as a Co-Founder and Vice President and co-led the proposal to redevelop the $7 billion Terminal One at JFK Airport, the largest P3 airport infrastructure project in US history.

Prior to Carlyle Airport Group, he was co-founding Vice-president of CCR USA, CCR Group’s US P3 airport-focused subsidiary. Prior to CCR USA, he was Co-founder of Sigma Infrastructure Partners, a P3 airport investment and advisory firm that merged with CCR Group to create CCR USA.

Prior to Sigma, Mr. Roberts was the VP of Corporate Development for Airports Worldwide (formerly ADC & HAS), a global P3 airport investment and operations platform formerly owned by Canada’s Ontario Municipal Retirement System (OMERS) in partnership with Houston Airports (HAS). At Airports Worldwide, he was responsible for leading P3 bids and acquisitions, while overseeing the financial performance, air service development and risk management functions. He co-led the company’s growth to become a global airport player with a portfolio of ten airports and oversaw the performance of TBI US, a US subsidiary which included a P3 Airport (Orlando Sanford) and five management contracts at US airports.

Prior to Airports Worldwide, he advised on M&A transactions in business services, aviation, transportation and infrastructure for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s investment banking practice in London.

Mr. Roberts is an active community leader committed to the advancement and empowerment of underrepresented groups, including minorities and women, and developing the next generation of leaders in the aviation industry. He is currently a member of the President’s Advisory Board for Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in New York, a Trustee for the Friends of Education Opportunity Program at the University of Washington in Seattle and a community ambassador for Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). He continues to be an advisor to the Washington State Model United Nations, an organization that has positively impacted over 6,000 high school and college students and which he founded over 20 years ago, in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Affairs Council and University of Washington in Seattle.

He holds an International Airport Professional accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) and ICAO’s airport management program, two degrees in Business and Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Ungerleider has management responsibility for financial and accounting functions within Avports. His duties include oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, contract administration, accounts receivable, company tax preparation, lender and state compliance, payroll, retirement plan management, arranging for payment of all company obligations and ensuring working capital for Avports. Mr. Ungerleider also arranges for permanent financing, lines of credit and investments as well as maintaining Avports’ relationships with its lending institutions and its numerous investors and partners. In addition, Mr. Ungerleider is Executive Vice President & CFO for Aviation Facilities Company, Inc., (AFCO) which he joined in 1997.

Prior to joining AFCO, Mr. Ungerleider was Controller for Tomco Systems, a provider of information technology services to the federal government and private customers. He also worked for many years with WEST*GROUP, a Virginia-based full-service real estate development firm, where his responsibilities included accounting and financial reporting. Mr. Ungerleider also has significant experience in the field of management consulting.

Mr. Ungerleider holds a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University and a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University.
