An affiliate marketing manager oversees and manages the activities of marketing affiliates or the websites and individuals that perform commissioned sales work for online retailers. The primary role of an affiliate marketing manager is to establish, maintain, and improve business relationships. They are responsible for recruiting affiliates, tracking sales from affiliate sites, and expanding the retailer's network. It is also their task to address and resolve affiliate concerns and issues.



As a mediator, an affiliate marketing manager directly communicates and negotiates with affiliate partners regarding campaign strategies and commission structures. After analyzing the sales traffic and program metrics, they prepare and submit reports to improve sales methods and upscale the product sales. Their in-depth knowledge in e-commerce and digital marketing allows them to contribute creative ideas for the affiliate programs.

Following this career path requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, communications, or a related field.
