In this role, you will be responsible for establishing criteria for industrial systems, including determining applicable codes, selecting controllers for various applications, and establishing hazardous are boundaries. Position is also responsible for developing system routing options; coordinating and implementing the layout of industrial systems and equipment; and, monitoring, interpreting, and conducting tests of Programmable Logic Controllers/distributed control system.
Expertise of our most successful Instrumentation and Controls Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and five years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and three years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
4 years of experience designing, programming, and implementing control systems, including Allen Bradley, Modicon, or Siemens PLCs;
2 years of experience with industrial networks and communication protocols;
4 years of PLC programming experience using various software, including RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500 Concept, or UnityPro;
3 years of experience with Wonderware packages (In-touch and Archestra System Platform), Factory Talk View, or Citect SCADA;
3 years of experience with industrial system design codes, standards, and specification requirements; and,
4 years of experience with engineering design programs, including AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
Position requires 30-35% domestic and international travel.

**AECOM** is seeking a **Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist** to provide hybrid work for various programs and projects. The role involves performing full-time support of projects throughout AECOM providing management of project data, reports, and schedules. + Familiar with construction contracting and implications of contract terms.
+ Knowledge of all phases of a project from planning through closeout.
+ Reviews purchase orders and subcontract schedule status and provides management with input on subcontract performance.
+ Knowledgeable of scope control and change management and has demonstrated ability to incorporate directed changes into schedule baseline. Knowledgeable in earned value methodology.
+ Assumes responsibility for some elements of baseline schedule and associated maintenance.
+ Familiar with basic cost analysis and forecasting in line with the project budgeting.
+ Knowledge with monitoring project milestones.
+ Can control the Cost Management, Change Management, contractor claims working with the team.
+ Participates in and at times leads team/project meetings.
+ Assists in procedure development and implementation.
+ Work with the team on mitigating risk on the schedule.

AECOM's growing Water business has an immediate need to for a Geophysicist/Geologist/Geoscientist to join our team based in Germantown, Maryland as part of the broader Geotechnical and Geophysics Group. This role includes participation in a broad range of engineering design and construction projects from concept development through to detailed design and construction. Our projects include some of the largest onshore and offshore, domestic and international civil infrastructure programs including wind and solar energy, pump storage energy facilities, combined sewer outfall tunnels, smart cities, defense facilities, dams, data centers, bridges and roadways.

Job Description
AECOM's growing Water business has an immediate need to for a Geophysicist/Geologist/Geoscientist to join our team based in Germantown, Maryland as part of the broader Geotechnical and Geophysics Group. This role includes participation in a broad range of engineering design and construction projects from concept development through to detailed design and construction. Our projects include some of the largest onshore and offshore, domestic and international civil infrastructure programs including wind and solar energy, pump storage energy facilities, combined sewer outfall tunnels, smart cities, defense facilities, dams, data centers, bridges and roadways.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Undertaking geophysical, geological and geotechnical services including geophysical surveys, soils and materials testing, geologic mapping, vibration and settlement monitoring, soil boring and rock corings,
Implementing a wide variety of terrestrial, marine, borehole and aerial geophysical investigations including seismic refraction/reflection, MASW, GPR, electromagnetics, magnetics, microgravity, electrical resistivity imaging, utility mapping, borehole geophysical logging, downhole/crosshole seismic, bathymetric surveying, side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiling, marine magnetics, and marine seismic.
Conducting data collection, geological characterization, analysis and reporting
Assisting in the prepare project documentation including reports, project communications, and design drawings and report figures that are of a high professional standard.
Generally supporting project teams in achieving stated goals within the Water Division but also to the various business lines across the U.S. and Internationally,
Assisting with the water engineering sector proposals and tenders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
2+ years of experience as a Geophysicist/Geologist/Geoscientist
Experience conducting field work in a productive and safe manner
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for periods of two weeks at a time.
Knowledge of standard geophysical, geologic and engineering practices, techniques and procedures
Experience with GPS, GIS and land surveying data collection and analysis.
Geophysical, geological and geotechnical software (i.e. SeisImager, ParkSeis, EarthImager, Radan, Surfer, Geosoft Oasis montaj, gINT, ArcGIS, SonarWiz, HyPack, AutoCAD and /or MicroStation)
Preferred Qualification
MS in Geophysics/Geology/Geoscience is favorable
Knowledge and experience implementing a wide range of geophysical and geological investigations including surface geophysics, borehole geophysics, airborne geophysics, marine geophysics and geologic mapping.
Desire to pursue PG license is favorable
Documented successful planning, organizational, communications and documentation skills desired
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams located within other AECOM offices
Experience with working on international projects at US military installations is favorable
Active clearance or ability to obtain security clearance is desired
Willingness to represent AECOM at professional organization meetings
Experience and willingness to mentor junior staff
Interest in business development
Additional Information
This position requires the ability and willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, various types of sites including remote, undeveloped areas and active construction sites,
This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry field equipment that may weigh up to 30 lbs. or more.
Travel will be required for this role both Nationally and possibly Internationally
