Proven ability to negotiate and secure new assignments on major healthcare, S&T or E&U projects.
Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team through planning, design and construction for projects ranging in scale from less than $1 million to greater than $100 million.
Proven ability to provide conceptual level planning with Architects and Owner.
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
10+ years in consulting environment designing building systems or leading design projects across MEP disciplines.
Recent experience (within last 5 years) in the healthcare, S&T or E&U market performing project management.
Successful management of large and complex projects for sophisticated clients
Demonstrated leadership on projects and with staff.
Long history of very satisfied clients.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to client/prospective client sites and other locations (conferences, etc.) where project development opportunities exist (depends on assignment).

In this role you will:
Assess the requirements of a project, break a project into tasks and work with the design team to determine scope, budget, and staffing;
Write scopes of work for electrical design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client;

Be skilled in electrical design, with expertise in collaborating with owners to define the Owner's project requirements, conducting building load calculations, analyzing power distribution, sizing equipment, and editing specifications;
Document existing conditions and perform complex and detailed troubleshooting. Resolve a variety of complex problems, i.e. conflicting design requirements, code issues, varying design options, and difficult condition requirements;
Prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyze operation of existing systems;
Work with building performance team to design and integrate alternative energy sources into the electrical distribution to create sustainable designs;
Review drawings and documents to assure compliance with company design and production standards. Assure that drawings and designs are in accordance with code compliance, Owner's requirements, design standards and the quality expectations of HGA;
Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials;
Produce sketches and system schematics for complicated design tasks;
Prepare engineering opinion of probable cost for electrical systems and review contractor cost estimates;
Make calculations using engineering formulas and skills for Electrical designs such as whole building electrical loads, lighting calculations, power distribution calculations, equipment sizing, editing specification sections, and creating punch lists;
Leverage the power of Revit as a design tool; and
Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as a resource for questions.
You will need to have:
BS or MS degree in electrical engineering
15+ years of experience in the design of power systems for healthcare, commercial and/or government project types
Professional licensure is required
Documented experience with a consulting engineering firm or A/E firm providing electrical design
Expertise in National Fire Protection Association Codes (NFPA) and an understanding of applicable (city, state, federal) requirements (such as Title 24 and HCAI) and pertinent standards as well as knowledge of IECC, LEED and ASHRAE requirements is essential
Proficiency with Revit software
Familiarity with electrical analysis software (i.e. SKM, Easy Power, Helioscope) and knowledge of the current sustainable technologies applicable to the design of commercial electrical systems

perform installations, change-outs, of hardware/software and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, etc. for users upon request or as needed;
utilize technical knowledge to assist with the repair of existing network topologies following IT procedures and methods;
understand the importance of overall accountability and provide reports, verbal and/or written updates as requested;
utilize our IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing platform to log, track, and prioritize support requests, ensuring accurate documentation of issues and resolutions;
assist with the on-going and open line of communication with the local Office Director so that all parties are mutually informed of issues, changes, short and long-range plans as it relates to equipment and processes;
provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and training to all users as needed in a timely, courteous manner and solicit support from Help Desk team members when needed;
provide first line contact regarding all software, specifically AEC software, Microsoft Office (o365), Adobe products, and solving general problems;
understand, support, and troubleshoot technical and workflow aspects of a hybrid work environment where users may be in office, at jobsites, or working remotely;
participate and coordinate other issues to appropriate contacts in the firm, such as working with IT Infrastructure teams on servers, networking, and storage;
travel to HGA's regional offices to provide in-person support as needed;
participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support rotation; and

You will need to have:
Associate degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Why We Need You:
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner's Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
Expertise of our most successful Commissioning Agent:
Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
Experience in computer operation and ability to learn engineering calculation programs, computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements.
Valid driver's license and state required vehicle insurance.

Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Geologist for employment for a variety of environmental projects (i.e., Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Actions) for the Federal sector. The candidate will have at a minimum a BS in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science with a successful work history of environmental investigation and remediation projects.

The individual will work on both field and office tasks. In the field, the individual will use established technical approaches and methods to collect data. In the office, the individual will work independently to evaluate the data and present the results for less complex projects, and support more senior staff in the technical analysis and reporting for projects of greater complexity. With greater experience, the individual will analyze issues and develop solutions to technical problems. The individual will gain knowledge from direct experience and working with more senior staff and gain increasing responsibility to apply their technical knowledge and experience to implement strategies and support design and delivery of products to meet customer and business needs.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to the following:
Conduct surface and subsurface investigations that employ soil borings; test pits; well installations; soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling; aquifer testing; and borehole and surface geophysical surveys.
Examine and describe soil samples and interpret geologic and hydrogeologic conditions.
Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform subsurface drilling investigations to determine the presence and extent of contamination in soil and groundwater, and vapor in soil pore-space matrices.
Be proactive in recognizing and appropriately addressing health and safety issues for the entire team.
Assist with preparation of proposals for small and moderate scope projects.
Work independently with a minimal to moderate level of guidance and work effectively as a team member.
Assist project managers with budget and scope preparation, development of work plans, and overall coordination of a variety of project management tasks related to new and on-going projects.
Assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job or grow to coordinate activities of a small team.
Drive quality control for assigned tasks or segments of a project.

40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate and annual refresher certificate.

In this role you will:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Designer II to join a highly collaborative and dynamic design team with opportunities for growth. The ideal individual will have 3+ years of experience and be a self-starter with strong project architect skills. RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses enhanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
Assists in generating creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
Generates drawings under supervision for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
Performs product research and assists team with material selections.
Exercises critical and creative judgement and design application skills in preparing client presentation materials.
Uses a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
Takes increasing ownership of tasks within project teams and studio activities.
Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
Keeps open communication within team and with designated team leader.
Communicates ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others.
Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required
LEED GA within 6 months of hire
3-5 years of experience
Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation
Preparing for ARE and active involvement in AXP LEED GA within 6 months of hire
Proficiencies in BIM, building codes, site analysis, preliminary design studies, contract documents, field measurements, life safety requirements, specifications and sketching
Knowledge of construction contract administration
SOFTWARE
Functional knowledge of 2D/3D production software
Intermediate Revit
Conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper
Microsoft Office / Adobe Suite
Visualization tools such as Enscape and VRay
Physical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cutting
Presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop
Environmental Analysis software such Ladybug and Climate Studio
