Principal Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensures that Aflac products are aggressively and competitively positioned through all distribution channels within his/her assigned area(s); assists with the development of strategies and plans to grow the business; develops selling models to optimize sales results
* Establishes and builds relationships with key sources who will market the Aflac portfolio of products to the nation's leading employers; manages overall relationship with key brokers while directing internal account support
* Creates and maintains a business plan within the assigned territory based on the customers' likely requirements; drives the pipeline and revenue goals for accounts within scope of responsibility to meet and ultimately exceed growth goals
* Assesses short-term and long-term market potential by understanding Aflac's current market position within each broker's book of business
* Defines desired market position and long-term goal with each broker though effective account planning
* Understands the clients' business issues and align Aflac's product development, case set-up, underwriting and other internal resources and services to meet the clients' needs
* Professionally manages the sales pipeline by strategically monitoring health and tracking top pursuits
* Embraces a culture of collaboration and teamwork and mentors team members on business development and relationship-building
* Develops and maintains a holistic view of Aflac offerings and competitor and market conditions within the assigned area and identifies account segment opportunities

Total Rewards
The salary for this job is $60,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
In addition to the base salary, we offer an array of benefits to meet your needs including medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, health care flexible spending, dependent care flexible spending, Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee), 401(k) plans, annual bonuses, and an opportunity to purchase company stock. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Pulls order accurately, according to RF unit and order ticket.
Verifies orders before sending to pack station.
Manifest cartons using carrier manifest stations and verifying the carton label to the pick-ticket.
Stack and shrink wrap cartons to specific skids by carrier ship level.
Packs orders according to order ticket paying attention to items needing extra dunnage, ice, and special instructions.
Use warehouse equipment , RF units, manifest machines, cherry picker, computer system.
General housekeeping of warehouse and pack stations.

**General Summary:**

**General Summary:**

The Customer Benefit Advisor (CBA) I is the entry level in a three-level career path. A CBA I is a critical first point of contact for our customers.
To be successful in this role, the incumbent is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service for business serviced by Unum/Colonial Life. It is critical to provide accurate information on benefits, claims, and or policy administration with minimal operational oversight. Incumbents in this role will be tasked with compiling information for multiple product types, from multiple systems, and providing responses to customers that are thorough, clear, and concise. We are seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter to underwrite middle market technology accounts focused on Property & Casualty and Technology Errors & Omissions (Tech E&O). This role combines autonomous underwriting authority with commercial development: you will manage a portfolio of brokers and clients, underwrite complex/mid-to-large risk technology accounts, price risk analytically, and shape product and go-to-market strategy for the technology vertical.
Responsibilities:
Risk Selection: Reviews, rates, underwrites, evaluates, or assesses the business applying for insurance by qualifying accounts, identifying, selecting and assessing risks, determining the premium, policy terms and conditions, obtaining approvals, creating/presenting the proposal to the agent/broker, and successfully negotiating deals.
Agent/Broker Relationships: Demonstrates a high level of responsiveness and focus on supporting Agents and Brokers objectives. Establishes, develops, and maintains successful relationships with Agents and Brokers to facilitate marketing of products, through responsive service, site visits, in person renewal meetings or enhanced knowledge of their customers businesses. Develops strong personal brand to build and maintain a long-term quality pipeline with Agents/Brokers.
Portfolio Management: Manages a sizable and complex book of technology business by analyzing the portfolio, identifying areas of opportunity for improved growth, profit and diversification, and executing marketing plans to increase market share by making marketing calls to brokers to market and cross market.
Documenting the Deal: Documents files in a way that reflects a solid thought process and decision making through comprehensive account reviews, sign-offs and referrals that comply with state regulations, letter of authority, and underwriting guidelines.
Leadership: Formally guides, mentors, and coaches underwriters and account analysts in both technical and professional skills. Demonstrates an area of expertise and provides regular updates to other underwriters.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participates in continuous improvement by generating suggestions, participating in problem solving activities and using continuous improvement tools to support the work of the team.
Qualifications
Degree in Business or equivalent typically required
A minimum of 7 years expected, typically 10 years or more, of progressive underwriting experience and/or other related business experience
CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred
Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within scope of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses and information in understandable written and/or oral directives to other persons in the organization for underwriting or training purposes
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Must demonstrate comprehension of most complex technical underwriting issues and be capable of defining and implementing necessary underwriting and administrative processes/workflows to properly manage or administer those issues
Proven track record of developing and underwriting profitable business
