Program Overview * The Summer Internship is an intensive 10-week internship program with Global Investments. Quantitative Analytics Solutions. * The intern will gain hands-on exposure to how Aflac's Global Investments division analyzes, allocates, and manages assets across a diverse portfolio, including fixed income, structured products, and private assets. * Work closely with associates to understand how regulatory capital is modeled, how strategic asset-allocation decisions are made, and how financial planning models support long-term investment outcomes. * The intern will collaborate directly with the Quantitative Solutions leader and associates, gaining visibility into real investment decision-making, risk analytics, and end-to-end model development within a highly analytical, fast-paced environment. Job functional responsibilities include: * Support the Quantitative Analytical Solutions team by contributing to financial models used for strategic asset allocation, regulatory capital analysis, and performance optimization. * Perform data analysis and routine data clean-up to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across key investment datasets. * Assist in building or enhancing quantitative models to evaluate asset-class characteristics, risk-return profiles, and forecasting scenarios. * Partner with team members to help improve model efficiency and overall analytical processes across the Global Investments division. * Written and verbal presentations to assorted stakeholders. * Participate in company/department wide meetings throughout the summer Additional qualifications include: * working towards a degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline. * Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. * knowledge on Python, SQL, Git/GitHub, Snowflake, C++, C#, R, MATLAB preferred. * All candidates must have eligibility to work permanently in the U.S. and must be physically located in the continental U.S. for the duration of internship. * Working time zone is Eastern Standard Time in New York City. * Worker Designation: "hybrid work schedule - minimum of 3 days per week" and excited to have in-person learning for the summer of 2026. The Chief Operating Officer (COO), Global Business Finance (GBF) Modernization Lead will play a critical leadership role in driving modernization and transformation across Apollo's global finance organization. Reporting to the GBF COO and partnering closely with the Apollo Asset Management (AAM) CFO and senior leaders across Finance, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining the transformation strategy that enables Finance to operate more efficiently, effectively, and strategically in support of Apollo's growth ambitions. This position will oversee key transformation programs that span Global Business Finance operations, reporting, data management, systems integration, and automation-ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic priorities, target operating model, and culture of continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities Strategic Transformation Leadership * Partner with the AAM CFO, GBF COO and senior Finance leaders to define and execute a multi-year Finance Transformation roadmap, aligning process redesign, technology modernization, and data strategy with business priorities. * Lead the design and implementation of a new finance operating model, including process simplification, automation, and governance improvements. * Serve as the primary business lead for major cross-functional initiatives (e.g., ERP modernization, reporting automation, and finance analytics). * Drive the adoption of new tools, systems, and ways of working to enhance Finance's scalability and agility. Program Governance & Execution * Establish and lead change management projects and programs within Finance, responsible for governance, tracking, and performance reporting of all key initiatives. * Define success metrics and ensure transformation goals are achieved through disciplined project management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. * Partner with Engineering, HC and Operations to deliver coordinated enterprise-wide change programs impacting Finance. Operational Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement * Champion process optimization and operational excellence initiatives across all finance functions, including accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, and reporting. * Identify and implement best practices in automation, workflow, and data utilization to improve accuracy, timeliness, and insight generation. * Embed a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making within the Finance function. Team Leadership & Culture * Lead and mentor a team of high-performing professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-trust environment. * Promote professional development, training, and succession planning to ensure sustainable organizational capability. * Partner with HR and Finance leadership to strengthen culture, engagement, and communication throughout transformation. Qualifications & Experience * 10+ years of experience in finance transformation, consulting, or operations leadership within asset management, financial services, or a related industry. * Proven success in leading large-scale transformation programs, including finance process re-engineering, ERP or data modernization, and automation initiatives. * Strong financial acumen and understanding of core finance processes (close & consolidation, FP&A, reporting, and controls). * Demonstrated ability to manage change across complex, global organizations-balancing strategic vision with operational discipline. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams. * Strong analytical and project management skills; familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Anaplan, or OneStream is a plus. * Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. Job functional responsibilities include: * Support portfolio reporting and financial analysis by assisting with the preparation, consolidation, and validation of investment data across asset classes, with a focus on fixed income. * Assist in the development and enhancement of automated reporting processes, helping streamline recurring reports used for internal investment reviews and committees. * Prepare and organize materials, metrics, and supporting data for internal investment committee presentations, including asset class activity, purchases, and sales. * Partner with team members to help maintain data accuracy, improve reporting workflows, and document business processes related to portfolio analytics.
