Be familiar with company products and services and able to refer customers and employees to appropriate personnel or recommend additional action. * Lead and direct the feed truck drivers to ensure that location and department goals are met including but not limited to leading interview and selection efforts for recruiting new talent, new hire training and onboarding, engaging in rewarding and recognition efforts to aid in department retention, lead performance management efforts such as coaching, performance reviews, further training and development, progressive discipline, wage reviews, and as needed, exiting efforts. * Monitor employee performance and ensure all employees comply and operate location equipment in a safe manner and safety and company policies and/or protocols are being followed. * Coordinate feed delivery movements with Location Leader to maintain maximum efficiency and lowest cost. * Develop and maintain relationships with independent owner operators. * Maintain good open communications with the locations pertaining to logistical needs. * Utilize available computer programs or tools to effectively manage transportation demands and costs. * Manage location feed truck drivers, builds, and maintains budget, and ensure all feed logistics are executed correctly and efficiently. * Maintain current carrier insurance coverage records. You Will: * Operate necessary equipment to perform customer application: * Handle Ag chemicals and fertilizer * Drive Tender truck to fill post sprayer as needed. * Understand chemical rates, uses, and restrictions. * Maintain and assist in the operations of the facility: * Perform outside maintenance. * Perform basic maintenance on application equipment. * Perform daily maintenance checks on all running equipment and trucks. * Prepare grain rail cars and load cars according to specifications as needed. * Abide by all AgState values and practices by: * Working in a safe and efficient manner * Always display superior customer service. * Demonstrate work habits that build and support the team concept. * Work overtime as needed. * Perform the essential functions of the job and other duties as assigned. You Have: * Must have a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat & tanker Endorsement * Must have a clear driving record * Commercial Applicator License * Prior applicating experience is preferred.
