As an AGCO Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will conduct research and development focused on process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, productivity, and cost in manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include assisting with new product introduction activities, suggesting design improvements to enhance manufacturability, providing technical assistance, and engaging in lean manufacturing and project management.
**Intern Program**
The AGCO Engineeringinternship program aims to identify promising undergraduate students and provide them with robust and meaningful engineering projects that can be completed within a 10-12 week timeframe. Projects will require mechanical knowledge, research, and collaboration with other engineers.
Internships are onsite in **Jackson, Minnesota** during the summer from May 2026 through August 2026.
**Your Impact:**
+ Identify and eliminate waste in all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
+ Facilitate and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
+ Perform line balancing activities to optimize the utilization of our assembly line process.
+ Provide feedback to engineers on how to reduce costs from prerelease design.
+ Review drawings for any obvious errors and assist in tracking the RFT (Right First Time) for prototype components.
+ Participate on behalf of manufacturing to influence design to enhance the manufacturability of applicable designs.
**Your Experience and Qualifications**
+ Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
+ Previous internship experience preferred.
+ Proficiency in using 3-D modeling software to identify issues, summarize data, and present information effectively.
+ Ability to follow instructions and deliver quality work on time. Ask questions and seek clarification when needed. Stay organized and on-task.

Support the production floor during required activities and product launch periods where you will help with the development and documentation of new processes and procedures.
Develop new standard data by time study or MTM as well as develop cost estimates of manufactured components/materials ensuring completeness, accuracy, and conformance with required delivery schedules.
Lead improvement initiatives to gain efficiency in the manufacturability of current processes while communicating effectively with your AGCO colleagues.
Resource management, planning, and interfacing with other production groups including interface with our MRP system and planning group to ensure timely production.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a college program pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
Basic understanding of manufacturing engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, floor layout, and workflow.
Willingness to contribute in a collaborative team environment, with a proactive attitude toward learning, supporting team goals, and participating in improvement efforts.
Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as Pro/Engineer (Creo), SolidWorks, or similar software is a plus but not required.
