The **Precision Planting PTI North Dakota Farm** is a 300-acre research farm located in Casselton, North Dakota. This farm showcases Precision Planting Technology, Core Principles, and Planting Fundamental trials across 5 major northern crops. Throughout the summer, Precision Planting invites growers from all over the world to come and learn agronomy and experience technology first-hand. Assist in negotiating buying contracts as assigned by the Category Manager or Divisional Merchandise Manager.
Partner with Inventory Management to ensure accurate stock levels for promotions and daily operations.
Gain deep knowledge of Fleet Farm's private brands and support forecasting, assortment, and promotional planning.
Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge through continuous learning and research.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
1-3 years of related experience (retail or merchandising experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of retail financials including revenue, COGS, gross profit margin, and operating expenses.
Familiarity with customer-centric retailing and consumer purchase analytics.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The Precision Planting PTI North Dakota Farm is a 300-acre research farm located in Casselton, North Dakota. This farm showcases Precision Planting Technology, Core Principles, and Planting Fundamental trials across 5 major northern crops. Throughout the summer, Precision Planting invites growers from all over the world to come and learn agronomy and experience technology first-hand. PTI Interns will receive hands-on experience in many different areas of agronomy at the Casselton, North Dakota location. This internship will focus on cutting-edge agronomy and sound farming practices that are pertinent to today's farmers. We are driven and work hard, but you'll have a rewarding experience and be challenged technically.
Your Impact
Operate agricultural equipment to conduct product testing.
Perform daily field operations as needed such as tillage, planting, spraying, mowing, cultivating, and fertilizer application.
Coordinate, execute, and measure field-based product trials. Maintain plots in good visual condition during the growing season through mowing, weeding, and tilling.
Assist with installation of field trial equipment.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Current student pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a related field.
Must have the ability to operate equipment & machinery and lift up to 50lbs.
Willingness to work outside and in the office.
Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with peers and management.
Comfortable speaking to large groups.
