Summary
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the stripping, buffing and waxing of floor surfaces throughout the hospital in accordance with safety and sanitation practices set forth by guidelines provided. May also assist in general housekeeping duties such as room/office cleaning; restroom maintenance, trash collection, or other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred High School Diploma Minimum 18 years of age. Ability to read and write well enough to identify chemical agents, follow strict isolation procedures and complete paperwork
Less than 2 years Minimum of one year of janitorial and floor care experience, preferably in a health care setting. Preferred
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Ability to plan and execute floor care projects with minimal guidance from the supervisor/manager of EVS. Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to communicate housekeeping activities with patients, staff and visitors.

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., as required by the facility or the department in relation to your position.
Attend and participate in annual in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management and bloodborne pathogens standard.
Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.
Follow established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs.
