Agency nurse job description

Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Being a part of our team by working with community partners, clients, staff, and administration.

• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements, and privacy practices
• Interpret, comply with, and evolve the agency’s quality assurance standards
• Adhere to the policies and standards of New Horizon Services.
• Maintain knowledge of licensure and other regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
• Maintain or contribute to agency policies, procedures, and service manuals, ensuring that additions or changes are made
• Ensure medical documentation is current and staff have the appropriate forms or information.
• Assist with report completion as required
  
• Maintain the values of New Horizon Services
• Comply with the policies/procedures and standards of New Horizon Services
• Provide training and information to staff as requested.
• Coordinate with all service departments as needed to help monitor and improve existing services
• Attend required training
  
• Perform all job duties in a safe manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must meet the eligibility requirements of the auto insurance company providing coverage for New Horizon Services vehicles or have access to transportation
• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Kansas.
• 1-2 years experience working with ID/D populations
• Experience creating, maintaining, and auditing Medication Administration Records
• Must be able to work 24 hours a week.
• Past supervisory experience preferred
