PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the overall success of Kitco Logistics (KLI) functions by ensuring the accurate and efficient processing and shipment of client orders and prompt response to client requests.
This position includes the analysis of bullion and scrap materials received on behalf of KLI's clients, the preparation and shipment of bullion products on behalf of clients, assistance with inventory management and preparation of shipments to refiners, monitoring of outstanding tasks while adhering to Kitco standards and practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Adhere to all Kitco policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all dealings are done with the highest level of professionalism.
• Abide by all personnel policies as outlined in the Kitco handbook.
• Comply with Kitco's customer service standards.
• Escalate to team lead/supervisor as issues arise.
• Act as a backup to all other tasks in Kitco Logistics as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
• Responsible for the accurate purity testing and verification (both bullion and scrap) of material when purchasing from clients according to Kitco protocol.
• Assist with the preparation and packaging of shipment.
• Assist in ensuring every inquiry or order is answered or completed the same day (or within 24 hrs.) and processing times are respected.
• Ensure orders are correctly reflected in the ERP, client payment requests are fulfilled, and tracking information noted in the ERP.
• Assess material for proposal of melt and assay, ensure proper forwarding of packages to Corporate Office for processing within department standards.
• Enter lot results and settle by verifying customer agreements with scrap transaction settlements
• Submit metals paperwork for preparation of customs clearing ensuring all paperwork is prepared correctly, prior to shipment.
•Follow-up on all outstanding packages and tasks accordingly.
• Assist in End of Day material balancing by collection and verification of scrap codes and bullion products, ensuring all precious metals are stored in vault.
• Assist in deposit of all incoming customer checks, verification and printing of all outgoing customer checks.
• Assist to ensure the physical environment of all Processing Areas is operable, clean, and maintained.
• Escalate questions, concerns, needs to Team Lead in a timely manner.
• Assist in handling incoming and outgoing tradeshow materials.
• Participate actively in the search for better processes.
• Assist in maintaining office supplies, packaging materials, etc. and placing orders as needed.
• Assist in maintain Endicia postage account.
• Assist with customs clearing of all packages being cleared for transport.
• Ensure proper documentation flow and communication between departments as needed.
• Participate actively in projects as assigned.
• Responsible for adherence to inventory management processes.
• Assist with investigating and explaining physical inventory discrepancies.
• Receive and verify supplier products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Works closely with security persons to assist guests who may have road, car or location of unit problems, that security can assist with.
