About the Role
The primary responsibilities of the Customer Service Agent - Participant Recruitment are to pre-screen participants by phone to determine their eligibility to screen for an actively enrolling study, to explain preliminary study and company details and to update the participant database.
What You'll Do Here
Review and understand all assigned actively enrolling study protocols
Pre-screen participants to determine their eligibility to come in for a screening visit
Enter/update participant demographic information and medical history in the recruitment database
Answer incoming calls, internet applications
Where applicable, promotes and ensures that all potential participants have access to participant lounge;
Contact past callers to update information and determine eligibility
To ensure the confidentiality of all personal information received from participants and /or sponsors;
Contact individuals who register online to determine eligibility
Schedule screening visits
Track daily call volume including call sources and email to recruitment manager
To provide a high level of customer service to participants that is consistent with Altasciences standards of quality and applicable ethical rules;
To strive to achieve study targets according to management specifications;
To be proactive in communicating problems and possible solutions to supervisors and the manager;
To comply with GCP guidelines, SOPs and protocol requirements
What You'll Need to Succeed
High school diploma or GED or higher; college degree is preferred.
One (1) year experience in a call center and medical terminology knowledge are assets.

Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating Customers and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
Ensuring FAA, Airline, and airport regulations are followed.
Enforcing safety/security measures and protects sensitive zones.
Assisting Customers with special needs, i.e., Customers who need assistance in boarding.
Loading and uploading baggage on and off the aircraft.
Marshaling in the planes and pushing back the aircraft.
Excellent communication skills.
Work in extreme outdoor conditions.
Ability to push/pull/lift 70 lbs. on a continuous basis.
Able to read and write English; bilingual skills a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Must be available to work varied hours plus weekends and holidays.
Other duties as assigned by the Station Leader.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test.
Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986.
Ability to attend required training.
Valid Driver's license

Physical Demands:
Must be able to carry 70-pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70-pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
Work Environment:
Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered.
