Joe Garvey provides years of experience in enterprise Software-as-a-Service for the transportation industry. As Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Garvey is responsible for global sales, partner network & strategic alliances to drive market growth.

As Vice President of Sales & Business Development at AgileAssets, Garvey has been responsible for direct and indirect sales, marketing and account management through strategic and tactical initiatives.

As the Co-Director of the International Executive Service Corps' commercial services division, Garvey developed and managed products, processes, and sales networks to deliver high value projects in over 20 foreign markets and the US.

Prior responsibilities include sales, international partner & channel relationships, and global product & materials sourcing. International sales nearly doubled in year one under his leadership at Lumatec Industries, providing 30% of revenue. Field experience with Anheuser-Bush in Europe, Frito-Lay in Iowa, and Ingersoll-Rand in México adds to Garvey's foundation.

Garvey was an adjunct professor at the International Business Institute at ACC. Through teaching, Garvey uncovered new methods of solving international business opportunities.

Garvey earned his MBA in Finance and Marketing, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Latin American Studies of Economics and International Business from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a BBA from Iowa State University and studied at Middlesex University in London, England and the Instituto Technológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Monterrey, Mexico.

Garvey was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa where he also served in the United States Air Force National Guard & Reserve for 12 years. He was active in the Austin Westlake Rotary Club (Rotarian of the Year Award, Club Secretary, International Service Director) and Toastmasters International (club president). He has also served on the Greater Austin International Coalition, on the Austin Community College International Business Institute advisory council. He enjoys outside sports with family and friends.
