How You'll Make a Difference (Essential Functions) The Manager of HR Services is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of compensation, benefits, and employee relations. This position also serves as the HR Business Partner for designated teams, acting as the primary contact to advise and support staff and management of those areas. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations Oversees the performance management systems, processes, and tools (coaching, evaluations, disciplinary actions, terminations). Manages the processes and outcomes for employee complaints and investigations. Partners with management and employees to enhance engagement and retention. Compensation Ensures standardized job descriptions are up to date and accurate through job evaluation processes. Conducts regular compensation market analyses and facilitates the process for recommendations of adjustments as needed. Manages the compensation increases processes and the compensation reviews for new/modified positions or upon management request. Benefits Coordinates the benefits strategy meetings with broker and leadership stakeholders. Oversees the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes for all employee benefits. Oversees the enrollment/change processes for staff entering/leaving benefit eligible status. Resolves employee benefits-related questions or concerns. Manages all benefits-related regulatory and reporting processes (5500, ACA, SPDs, etc.). Administers the workers' compensation processes and provides leadership over claims issues. HR Business Partner for Designated Teams Coordinate the full recruitment process including consulting with hiring manager (job requirements, pay, and recruitment strategy, etc.), sourcing candidates, leading selection process, hiring, and initiating the onboarding process. Provide consultation and guidance to managers on staffing, employee-related departmental policies and procedures, employee relations/performance management, training, engagement and staff development initiatives. Lead or participate in investigations, unemployment responses and hearings, disciplinary meetings, performance improvement plans, etc. Acts as liaison for employee benefits questions, leave of absence/ADA needs, or return to work issues. Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations; evaluates their impact upon operations, and recommends policy and procedural improvements to management, as appropriate. Interpret, communicate and administer human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. Seeks guidance from fellow managers, director and executive leader as appropriate and collaborates with legal counsel where necessary. Manage Staff Hire, train, engage and retain department staff. Assign, direct and verify the work of direct reports. Assess staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, correction and development opportunities. Other Duties Participate in internal work groups, meetings and committees relative to position responsibilities. Ensure compliance with Agrace policies and protocols, state, federal, and other regulations. Develop and adhere to annual department operating budget. Oversee work of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Miscellaneous Participate in meetings to plan and evaluate patient/family services.
