The Mechanical Intern actively works with in-house engineers, architects, and construction departments to assist with ongoing functions. This is a temporary position. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: * Perform entry-level engineering tasks for our Federal Fuels program that provides maintenance, construction, and engineering services for Department of Defense projects. * Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies solutions to nonstandard requests. * Review and interpret specifications, drawings, scope of work documents and field data. * Gain knowledge and uphold industry standards from organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute, National Fire Protection Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute. * Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline. * Manage and organize approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of project activities/requirements. * Works on straightforward tasks using established procedures; all work will be subject to review by others.
