Reporting to a senior Partner, AHA is seeking a candidate who will prepare engineering design concepts for HVAC building systems for our clients. Project types include Corporate, Academic, Science & Technology, Industrial, Mission Critical, Civic & Entertainment, Healthcare, Historic Preservation & Adaptive Reuse and Mixed Use.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leadership & Management : Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 5-7 HVAC engineers, fostering professional growth and ensuring successful project delivery.
Project Oversight : Act as Department Director, providing technical oversight, assisting in the developing design concepts for new HVAC systems and analyzing the performance of existing systems.
Design & Engineering : Prepare engineering studies, calculations, and system layouts, including ductwork, piping, equipment sizing. Prepare specifications, controls diagrams and sequences of operation.
Technical Expertise : Provide quality control reviews of team projects and ensure compliance with applicable building codes and company design standards while promoting continuous improvement.
Client Engagement : Attend client meetings, present design concepts, and ensure client satisfaction.
Site Involvement : Conduct site visits as required to oversee project implementation and resolve issues.
Position Qualifications (Required)
PE license
Bachelor's degree (BSME or BSMET) or equivalent technical training/certification.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering at an MEP firm.
Strong knowledge of mechanical system design, including hydronic systems and controls.
Solid understanding of building codes and standards (ICC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.).
Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
In-office presence required on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (hybrid work schedule).
Project management experience.
Well-rounded experience across a variety of different project types and market sectors.
Work on-site in Alpharetta, GA with hybrid schedule
Position Qualifications (Preferred)
Proven track record of managing teams and mentoring engineers.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.

What You'll Do:
Design power distribution, lighting and controls, backup power (UPS/generators), and renewable energy systems with a strength in mission critical environments (e.g., data centers, secure facilities) and life science. Handle project coordination, technical calculations, site surveys and client management.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and system schematics.
Develop sketches and technical documentation for complex power systems.
Guide junior engineers and designers in the layout of electrical systems.

Prepare technical reports, write feasibility studies, prepare cost estimates and specifications and code compliance documentation.
Review submittals, specifications, and construction documents.
Conduct site visits, construction inspections, and punch list observations.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering (ABET-accredited).
A minimum of 5 years of electrical systems design experience building technology in building technology
Experience designing systems for mission critical, life science, commercial, or institutional projects.

Essential Functions- The Recent Graduate Engineer for JSE's Low Voltage team will be trained to perform the following functions:
* Use Autodesk software (Revit and AutoCAD) to draft low voltage engineering designs for projects, as well as other applicable software.
* Develop and improve proficiency in evaluating and applying the requirements of building and electrical codes, BISCI, TIA and Public Safety DAS standards to projects.
* Develop skills as a specifier of low voltage equipment and devices, including camera, access control, communications audio-visual systems.
* Evaluate/review shop drawing and equipment submittals.
* Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineers for requirements of low voltage systems.
* Routinely interact with clients in verbal and written form
Preferred Knowledge:

BRPH is looking for a Senior Level Interior Designer for our Atlanta, Florida office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all areas of interior design with the ability to work in all phases of a project's development including large and / or complex projects. Requires substantial experience in project management and ability to function as project leader in team environment.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May serve as prime contact of firm with clients, consultants, and public agencies.
Provide leadership in project design.
Prepare and conduct client interviews. Consolidate information into a Program Document outlining square footage and personnel requirements.
Initiate preparation of Equipment List gathering electrical, plumbing, and special HVAC requirements from client.
Proficient in preparing Schematics, to include Block & Stacking Plans.
Proficient in Space Planning.
Proficient in preparing complete set of Construction Documents.
Responsible for technical implementations of design concepts during construction documents, specifications, building, & construction administration.
Responsible for code compliance as it relates to ADA and Life Safety. All plans to be reviewed and coordinated with Architect of record throughout the design process, (schematic thru final construction documents).
Prepare reports and specifications.
Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline's drawings and specifications.
Establish and monitor outside consultants
Has working knowledge of computer aided design drafting to produce designs into routine final drawings and performs limited CADD operations.
Prepare presentation boards.
Has excellent understanding and knowledge of construction techniques and constructibility as it relates to interiors; flooring, partitions, ceilings, and other finish materials.
Visits construction site to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties, such as shop drawings review, attend construction site meetings, review RFI's, prepare ASI's, PR's, prepare status reports, per the contract documents.
Review and monitor quality of outgoing submittal. Responsible for job specific standards, practices, and quality, as defined in BRPH System Manuals.
Review project schedule & budget worksheets.
Assist client in selection & procurement of furniture thru development and coordination of furniture bid document. Further assist client in evaluation of pricing and awarding of bid. Upon completion of installation prepare furniture punch list and track outstanding items.
Follow-up with client after occupancy to confirm client satisfaction.
Marketing duties & responsibilities:
Provide leadership in new business development.
Participates in marketing efforts and client presentations.
Participate in strategic planning.
Maintain client relationships and develop new revenues thru continuing services.
Represents the Interiors group on boards or committees as appropriate
Active member in a professional trade organization.
Support Human Resource in conducting new employee interviews.

Maintain administrative / technical documents required by senior staff, accounting, or others, as it pertains to the management of Interior Design projects.
Review monthly project billing invoices to confirm correct manpower & reimbursable charges.
Follow-up with client questions pertaining to billing invoices and confirm final payment with accounting.
Review employee time-sheets as it pertains to assigned projects.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer operates as part of the department's core production group to provide electrical design on a variety of complex and challenging projects, in addition to mentoring and training of junior staff
A successful candidate should possess the necessary technical skills to:
Design medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems and prepare one-line diagrams in coordination with Sr. Engineer
Prepare load calculations, specify and layout electrical equipment, and perform power, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, lightning protection, communication, and fire alarm system design, and produce construction documents using REVIT
Perform electrical calculations such as: short circuit, voltage drop, transformer and generator sizing calculations, battery sizing, conductor and conduit sizing, cable pulling tension, and conduit jam ratio
Perform photometry calculations for normal and emergency lighting using lighting calculation software
Perform short circuit current and load flow analysis, overcurrent protective device coordination, and arc flash risk assessment using SKM Power Tools and develop power distribution system recommendations and incident energy mitigation techniques
Review and edit project specifications
Participate in inter-discipline project coordination
Implement efficient design strategies that promote project financial health and profitability to ensure design work is performed within allocated budget
Contribute to assuring project schedule milestones are achieved, assist in identifying scope creep and coordinate with Sr. Engineer for potential schedule and cost impacts
Assist the Sr. Engineer with the forecasting of workload and resources for assigned projects
Visit construction sites to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, attend construction site meetings, respond to RFI's, and prepare field status reports
Follow the department's quality control vision through performing designer checks and inter-discipline cross checks on construction documents
Contribute to the improvement of the department's design standards
Participate in the firm's mentorship program by providing mentorship and training to junior staff while establishing a mentor/mentee relationship with Sr. Engineer
Qualifications
Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building and energy conservation codes
Proficiency in the use of REVIT, SKM Power Tools, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft OneNote
