WHAT YOU WILL DO We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer to help us make a real impact in our Tri-Cities office. In this role, you will work on private developments that include residential subdivisions, commercial, mixed use, and industrial site development projects. You will collaborate with engineers, CAD technicians, and a project manager in preparing civil permit and construction plans, reports, and calculations. You will perform stormwater calculations, write storm drainage reports, design utility extensions for sewer, water, and stormwater, and prepare plans in Civil 3D. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Here's our list of must-haves: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering EIT 3+ years of civil engineering site design experience Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Proficient in stormwater modeling using WWHM, MGS Flood and other software Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with the ability and desire to deliver excellent client services Anything on this list would be an asset, but is not required: PE License COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The pay range for this position is dependent on which of our internal company levels the selected candidate aligns with. This role could be filled by candidates at either a Project Engineer III or Project Engineer IV level, and the hiring team will determine which level is most appropriate for each candidate based on their relevant background and experience. Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Project Engineer III - $80,000 - $110,000 per year Project Engineer IV - $96,135 - $123,000 per year Annual discretionary performance-based bonus. 100% paid employee medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance and long-term disability protection. Subsidized dependent coverage. Option of PPO health plan or HDHP with Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution. Optional Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Paid Time Off (PTO) Benefits. Your Key Responsibilities * Typical projects or design tasks may include the design of sanitary, storm, and watermain projects and overland flow / civil site plan design projects. Manages project technical tasks including completing design work, calculations, writing specifications and technical reports on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects generally involving sanitary & storm sewer and watermain design, pump stations, stormwater management/drainage plans. * Coordinates design and report deliverable packages for submission to clients and/or approval authorities. * Coordinate with the Project Manager and attend meetings with the client, team members and sub-consultants. * Understands and implements industry standards and manuals as well as client and regulatory agencies standards and requirements. * Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables. * Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent. * Prepare engineering documents and contract documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules. * Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks. * Participate in basic cost estimating under the direction of technical leaders to support engineering projects. * Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff. * All other duties as required and assigned. Pay Range: * Locations in WA, DC & Various CA areas - Min Salary $ 122,700.00 - Max Salary $ 184,100.00 Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
