**Job Description**
As a Telecom Designer for Olsson on the Data Center team, you will be responsible for working in a collaborative design environment to design low voltage, telecommunications, and audio/visual systems within the built Data Center environment. This will include but is not limited to the following: layout of MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms, horizontal cabling design and specifications, Wireless Access Control, Security and Access Control, Surveillance, audio/visual systems, nurse call, and other low voltage systems. You will specialize in Telecom, Security, Audio/Visual Design and will also help with other electrical design projects as needed.

Olsson's Rail Signal experts provide clients with a single resource for services such as traffic signal preemption design, grade crossing safety design, traffic operations studies, and other related services. The Rail Signal team focuses on providing crossing and wayside signal design services for the Rail Sector.
As an Experienced Designer for the Rail Signal team, you will provide overall technical expertise to the design staff. You will lead quality assurance/quality control and act as an advisor on complex projects. You will direct and manage project staff on technical aspects of projects including coordination with all disciplines involved on projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform intermediate- to advanced-level design while working under minimal direction and supervision
Select and recommend design approaches as well as prepare preliminary designs for engineering staff
