Job Description AHRC NYC is looking to hire an Assistant Recruiter for their Home Care division. The Assistant Recruiter responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hiring and screening of all direct care employees for the Home Care Department; ensuring all active direct care employee files are in compliance with work requirements, and performing data entry for new hire and incumbent staff in a timely fashion. SALARY: $35,000-$38,000 per year and comes with a comprehensive Benefit package.. See Benefit information below. SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Recruiter at presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and available opportunities. Screen and process new employees according to company policy and assure compliance with all local, state and federal laws. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing applications and interviewing applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and positions. File and maintain employment records on all applicants and notify them as to the decision regarding their acceptance for employment, and for future references. Process new hire packets in a timely fashions, by following up with staff and implementing and completing required screenings in a timely fashion. Complete the following screenings in a timely and efficient manner and in compliance with all local, state and federal laws: finger printing, drug screening, references, certification and education verification, W-4 and I-9 forms, physicals, and required medical screenings. Complete data entry to activate new hire staff, update the compliance status of incumbent staff, and update training activities for staff in a timely fashion. Process activations, updates and terminations in the crescent system in a timely manner. Compile weekly and monthly reports to monitor and track productivity. Run forecasting compliance reports for incumbent staff and ensure timely scheduling of staff for mandatory training and medical screenings. Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure effective communication and follow-up. Additional duties as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer and statistical reporting skills essential. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills needed. Ability to effectively interact with colleagues, staff, consumers and other service stakeholders. In this endeavor, HASC Center encourages all individuals to maximize their dreams and become productive members of the community. This is accomplished by providing an array of individual and family supports through a dedicated team of professionals and support staff. About the Program: As a Residential staff member, you will provide support to a group of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will foster increased socialization, skill building, community safety, and overall independence skills while assisting them in developing independence and life skills. Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: (Shabbos Shift) Friday-Sunday 1pm - 9am Responsibilities: Be familiar with individual's IPOP, Life Plan, Staff Action Plan, Behavior Plan, etc.in order to understand how care is managed. Assist individuals with ADL and other independent living skills in accordance with plan documents. This assistance may take the form of full support, partial support or verbal prompting, as well as behavioral interventions as indicated in the behavior management plan. The Clinical Coordinator (CC) is responsible for collaborating with FCS and Residential staff in overseeing all aspects of operation for the Crisis Respite Transition Program (CRTP). The CRTP provides clinical and residential supports for people with I/DD experiencing psychiatric or other behavioral health crises. The CC fulfills these responsibilities through the activities of the staff he/she supervises and therefore, primary responsibilities include the training and oversight of direct care staff in appropriate delivery of qualitative person-centered, trauma informed care and treatment and consistent adherence to safety and other policies and procedures. The CC acts as a role model for DSPs in engaging with the people they support and with related stakeholders to work towards mitigating crisis-related factors and facilitating a path to a safe and stable return to the community. The CC identifies unmet needs of the people supported in the house and gaps in programming, communicates with appropriate parties, and follows up on concerns. Collaborates with clinical and management team in planning each person's individualized program of services and care, covering both daily and longer-term needs, and ensuring delivery of services and care by direct care staff that addresses each person's interests, behavioral health needs, preferences, strengths and capabilities. Participates in comprehensive service planning activities with outside agencies, as applicable, for each person at the respite site. Monitors direct care activities related to medical services, including ongoing maintenance of electronic and paper medical records, scheduling and attending of medical appointments, appropriate oversight for individuals' self-administration of medication with support, and request for referrals as needed. Ensures each person's basic needs are met, including adequate supply of food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and any other personal belongings necessary to meet individuals' needs within the respite house. Ensures nutritional needs of residents are fully met. Provide assistance and consultation to Teachers of Speech and Language Disabilities and/or Clinical Fellow Therapists at regularly scheduled meetings and as needed. Provide mandated speech related services as per student's IEP. Maintain session notes which reflect activity during individual and group therapy sessions. Assess students annually and provide periodic progress reports and annual reports which include descriptions of student's performance, areas of need and recommendations. Complete IEP for students based on assessment which addresses individual needs in areas of communication and update IEP as needed. Assist in acquisition of assistive technology for students in need of such technology. Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and represent student needs in area of communication and feeding.
