Evenings & weekends may be required
Part-time approx. 20 hours not benefit eligible- 1,000/hr. year position
The TR Aide II will be part of a team responsible for planning and implementing recreational/leisure activities for residents at Cedarbrook.
Typical examples of work:
Evaluates and implements nursing home resident activities programming.
Assesses resident recreation needs and helps to develop care planning in coordination with resident's input and the interdisciplinary team.
Run group activities and assists team in running large events, including resident outings.
Works with the L.E. team and other departments, such as nursing, to ensure residents' leisure needs are met as per the care plan in an organized and safe manner.
Documents appropriately in the resident's chart.
Performs related work as required.
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years of substantiated experience working in a Long-term Care Activities or Therapeutic Recreation or Life Enrichment Department and/or a BS in Therapeutic Recreation. If multiple candidates have the same amount of required Activities/T.R./L.E. experience, then the candidate with more seniority at Cedarbrook will be chosen.
