WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR -
Under the general direction of the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher, the Teacher Aide Floater demonstrates competency to support and implement quality program activities. The Teacher Aide Floater assists and supports the implementation of the educational curriculum that meets the ECEAP and Washington State Licensing performance standards and the requirements of daily operations of a preschool classroom in ECEAP. The Teacher Aide Floater participates as a team member when necessary, with class Direct Service Team (DST), to provide continuity of care.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING -

Classroom and Administrative Support
Supporting daily and weekly health, safety and sanitation practices of the classroom; including but not limited to daily loading and unloading of the dishwasher, cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, classroom surfaces, and toys, sweeping and mopping floors.
Performing tasks for preparation, set-up, and clean-up of mealtime daily including; food preparation based on CACFP approved menus, replenishing of food as needed during mealtime, and monitoring on-site food inventory week-to-week.

Maintaining up-to-date on-site personnel files that meet the required certification of ECEAP and licensing standards; CPR/First-Aid, food handlers, blood borne pathogens, and all other required certifications.
Supporting Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher as requested.
Being flexible and adaptable to multiple locations, classroom environments, and team atmospheres; travelling to multiple locations based on the daily need of each classroom/site.
Child Engagement and Development
Actively participating in age-appropriate interactions and classroom activities such as free play, mealtime, floor time, outdoor time and all other classroom activities; contributing to a positive environment for children and adults.
Enhancing and promoting growth in children's physical and intellectual competence by engaging in physical, cognitive, language and creative skills.
Emotional and Trauma-Informed Support
Providing emotional support and regulation skills that are trauma-informed, and following conscious discipline philosophies and practices while being engaging, responsive, attentive, consistent, nurturing, supportive, and culturally sensitive to all children.
Supporting and managing children from high-risk environments, with the ability to learn and implement trauma-informed practices to best support the success of children.
Program Coordination and Compliance
Understanding and following the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) performance standards regarding; instructional practice, health and safety, classroom requirements and hours of service.
Monitoring and maintaining own MERIT online account credentials and certifications as required by DCYF and Licensing WAC's.
Continuously seeking out professional development opportunities, so that training and education annual continuing education hours are completed as required by ECEAP performance standards and Licensing WAC's.
Maintaining confidentiality of program and client-related information at all times.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Twelve (12) credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred.

Actively participate in team meetings to assess youth progress, adjust treatment plans, and share updates regarding behavioral concerns or operational issues. Work closely with the Program Manager to facilitate communication and support as needed.
Coordinate and manage transportation logistics for clients, ensuring safe travel to appointments, community outings, and other scheduled activities. Must be able to safely operate a personal vehicle for client transport. The Direct Care Staff must maintain a valid drivers license, have access to a reliable, insured vehicle, and ensure that the vehicle has up-to-date registration and insurance.

As a Physical Therapy Aide at Highline Physical Therapy, you'll be an essential part of our team, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients.
Pay: $16.66-20/hr based on experience & skill set
Schedule: Full time - clinic is open M-F 7am-6pm

Essential Job Functions:
Patient Support: Assist patients in transitioning to therapy areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Helping to create a positive work environment and culture of the clinic ensuring that patients needs are taking care of during transitional periods of therapy. Help provide customer service, a smile
Equipment Setup: Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas based on therapist instructions.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain organized patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures.
Assist front office with front office tasks when down time occurring including but not limited to: answering the phone, scanning documents into charts, scheduling patients, taking over the counter payments, filing, faxing, etc.
Assist Therapists: Aid therapists during therapy sessions by providing necessary materials and facilitating exercises.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment. Daily equipment cleaning, cleaning tables, laundry, stocking supplies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare is a plus.
Prior experience in a healthcare setting or as an occupational therapy aide preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach towards assisting individuals in need.
Physical Requirements:
Mobility: Ability to move around freely to assist patients and therapists.
Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting patients as needed (up to 50 pounds).
Standing: Extended periods of standing and walking during therapy sessions.
Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling therapy tools and equipment.
Visual and Auditory Skills: Ability to observe patients and communicate effectively.
Flexibility: Adaptability to changing tasks and schedules in a dynamic healthcare environment.
