How you'll serve our patients The Dietary Assistant works alongside the dietary department by supporting patients with their dietary needs, completing food-related projects, providing administrative support to dietitians, supervising patients at meals and snacks, supporting dietitians with running groups and meals, and maintaining menus as directed. You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways: Distributes, collects and corrects patient menus weekly. Updates patient menus and meal plans as directed by Clinical Dietitians. Meet with patients one-on-one to support with menu completion as needed. Completes documentation for meal support or groups as required. Sets up and supports patient meals, snacks and restaurant outings as needed. Completes projects as directed by members of the Dietary team. Shops for groceries and does food ordering. (will vary by location). Supports Clinical Dietitians in preparing for Nutrition and Cooking Groups. Coordinate with Food Service team to ensure all patients' dietary needs are met, including monitoring for food allergens. Collects and analyzes patient data as related to dietary department.
