Assist department in the general duties performed daily in the department. Transport patients from the front desk, gives patients directions for exam, fills out paper work for procedures and chaperons exams when necessary. Energetic and self-motivated. Work in fast-paced environment preparing patients for tests. Must be detail oriented, have ability to multi-task along with good communication and organizational skills and ability to follow instructions. Must be able to spend a majority of time on feet with a considerable amount of walking and able to carry medical records and transport patients. Job Duties:
· Escort patients (by walking or wheelchair) from admitting area to waiting room. Get them changed, give them paperwork and when applicable, prescreen (questions for CT) and start drinking.
· Any employee who discovers, is directly involved in or is responding to an event/occurrence/risk is required to complete or direct the completion of an occurrence report within 24 hours of event/occurrence/risk.
· My job performance, including current competencies will be reviewed by my supervisor on a periodic basis. If my job performance/ current competencies are not (or continue to not be) at required level this could result in additional training and/or disciplinary action.
· Log in patient on schedule.
· Check for referral and disperse paperwork in Tech Area.
· Scan paperwork.
· Take patients (by walking or wheelchair) to other departments if having additional tests along with correct paperwork; make copies of paperwork where applicable.
· Print out schedule and paperwork in advanced. Paperwork must be checked 2 days in advance.
· Make phone calls to confirm next day's appointment.
· Order forms and office supplies when needed; follow-up on forms order until received.
· Keep waiting rooms and changing rooms neat; pick-up gowns, etc.
· Assist techs with patients when needed; getting on & off table, escorting back to waiting room, getting wheelchair if patient needs assistance.
· Help patients that need to reschedule and escorting back to admitting if refund is due.
· Shred on daily basis if possible.
· Escorting patients in SDMI wheelchair to front, sometimes to front curb and/or handicap parking.
· Put in request to File Room to obtain reports and/or films from other facilities for Techs.
· Oral communication skills, ability to give concise instructions and information to the patient and visitors, and ability to communicate with people of various backgrounds and education levels under direction of Technologist and/or Radiologist.
· Patience, tact and courtesy to handle patients, visitors and doctors in an appropriate manner.
· Effectively use of telephone and computer systems/programs.
· Exhibit knowledge and understanding of exams performed in assigned modality and the ability to explain as needed to the patient.
· Notify Technologist of any information relating to patient and or their inappropriate care.
MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be a High school graduate or equivalent. Previous medical experience preferred.
· Submit retypes form when necessary.
· Skill in organizing time to accommodate changes in workload and assignments in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
· Skill to pay attention to details and accuracy in completing tasks.
· Utilizes supplies and equipment effectively, as well as cleaning and disinfecting.
· Respond positively to changes in assignments and priorities.
· Work as an effective team member with co-workers and other personnel.

· Must know fire and evacuation plan and electrical safety.
· Comply with Universal Protection standards.

· Assume responsibility for updating knowledge of current SDMI department policies and procedures, protocol and practices.
· Demonstrate punctuality by reporting to work on time/satisfactory attendance record that complies with SDMI attendance policy.

Job Summary
The VGAL ensures a high quality of veterinary care, client service, employee well-being, and productivity of the veterinary medical team. Qualifications
High School diploma
Must be 18+ years
Healthcare and/or customer service experience
Preferred

Certified Personal Trainer experience.

Responsibilities:
Observing knowledge covering therapeutic assessments and treatments for a wide-ranging sports/orthopedic pathology.
Support physical therapy care delivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials, and performs procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.
Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patients into physical therapy apparel or apertures.
Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests and allaying fears.
Help treat patients by applying heat packs and ice packs, assisting patients into the gym, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, measuring mobility, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patient on equipment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science preferred
6 months+ related experience preferred.
CPR Certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25-50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
