The Personal Care Specialist's (STNA) Essential Duties Are:
We provide superior care for patients in families in homes/facilities. Our STNAs are titled "Personal Care Specialist" because they are valued for their expertise in taking care of the patient's personal needs with dignity, compassion and empathy. You could become a Personal Care Specialist that provides quality nursing assistance to patients, assists the family with the care of the patient and works with a team that relies on your input from the close relationship you develop with the patient.
Personal Care Specialist (STNA) Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED;
Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio without any board actions;
one year of experience preferred;
Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred, required within two years of employment;
Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
Valid Driver's license with Safe Driving Record.

* Assisting students on steps, boarding and exiting transportation vehicles. Assistance includes supporting, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 300 pounds.
* Moving from a seated position on the floor to standing and moving about the classroom at least 15-20 times per 3 hour period.
* The ability to run after and catch a student in flight. Running may occur on hard, soft, and uneven surfaces.
* Assisting with delegated nursing duties, which may include catheterization, tube feeding, administration of diastat, and other duties that may be delegated, with proper training.

Documentation:
Assist with documenting resident attendance, preferences, and participation levels in various activities.
Help maintain accurate records of resident involvement in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Set-Up and Clean-Up:
Prepare activity rooms or spaces by arranging furniture, gathering necessary supplies, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Clean up after activities, ensuring the area is restored to its original condition.
Special Event Support:
Assist in organizing and running special events such as holiday celebrations, outings, or family nights.
Help coordinate with volunteers, family members, and other staff to ensure successful events.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in activities coordination, recreation, or working with the elderly in a healthcare or community setting is preferred but not required.
