The Opportunity Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Campus Aide will coordinate and help supervise students in non-classroom activities before, during, and after school hours. Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Part-Time (30+ Hours) Full-Time (40 Hours) MSK Health Management Partners (MSK) is a Management Services Organization located in the greater Los Angeles area (Burbank and Glendale). MSK performs comprehensive management and billing services for physicians and medical professionals including ambulatory surgery centers, private clinics, physical therapy spaces, imaging offices, and urgent care settings. MSK is able to provide full or a la carte services based on the needs of their clients. Services include: Human Resources, Accounting, Credentialing, Revenue Cycle Management, Payer Contracting, Strategic Planning, Inventory Management, and Day to Day Oversight of Operations. Position Summary: Under close supervision of a physical therapist, perform only delegated, selected, or routine tasks in specific situations. These duties include preparing the patient and the treatment area. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively Reports to: Directly to the MSK Physical Therapy Clinical Director Partners and Medical Professionals have indirect oversight as well Job Responsibilities: Duties will consist of, but not be limited to: Clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment. Instruct, motivate, safeguard, or assist patients practicing exercises or functional activities, under direction of physical therapists. Record treatment given and equipment used. Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities such as ice, heat, light, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation treatments. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support. Change linens, such as bed sheets and pillowcases. Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment. Schedule patient appointments with physical therapists and coordinate therapists' schedules. Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress and report to physical therapist. Confer with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment. Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order. Perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, or filling out forms. Maintain equipment or furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly or disassembly of equipment or accessories. Assist patients to dress, undress, or put on and remove supportive devices, such as braces, splints, or slings. Participate in the patient Fitness program Physical Requirements: Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (meaning you have received a booster OR completed your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna within the last 6 months OR completed the first dose of J&J within the last 2 months) Walking distances are occasional and no greater than 50 yards, unless walking to or from the parking garage Moderate phone usage Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The primary job duties this position is responsible for achieving are listed in order of importance. Responsible for assisting the licensed personnel in keeping the department running smoothly by performing therapeutic activities within the scope of on the job training and with on-site supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist assistant. Position Summary Provides therapy care to inpatients and outpatients within the scope of documented on the job training and with onsite supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist assistant. Essential therapeutic care includes, but is not limited to moist heat, cryotherapy, massage, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, intermittent cervical/pelvic traction and therapeutic exercise. Performs daily clerical and office duties inclusive of, but not limited to outpatient scheduling, Xeroxing, filing charts and records and placing completed notes in patient charts. Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time. Uses computerized time clock correctly. Attends staff meetings and actively participates, reads and returns all staff meeting minutes. Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQl) activities. Demonstrates an understanding of the procedures for reporting and responding to facility emergencies such as fire, and disruption in utilities and hazardous materials spills. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment capabilities, limitations, and appropriate/special applications. Demonstrates the ability to access and use computer systems. Communicates with physicians, administrative staff, co-workers, and patients/families in a respectful and caring manner. Demonstrates a positive professional image; performs responsibilities in a professional manner; demonstrates flexibility in the provision of patient care/service; utilizes a collaborative approach with co-workers. Demonstrates flexibility in the work setting with changing assignments, varying staffing levels and patient care environments, and completes work on time. Consistently demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Assists department management in the resolution and evaluation of problem situations. Assumes other duties as required.
