The Job
A typical day for a MaintenanceTechnician starts out gathering any work orders that might have come in before their shift. When something breaks our technicians will assess the situation and decide what the best method of repairing it is.
Job Duties Include:
Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility.
Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical work, wall surface repairs, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
Maintain the physical condition of the hotel according to established operating and safety standards, ensuring that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner.
Check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.
Provide guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, General Manager, and Executive Housekeeper.
Respond in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.

Position Summary:
System Specialties Inc, a leader in in-house crane fabrication, parts, service, and material handling is hiring a Crane Service Technician for our Greenville, SC location. Join our team and be part of a 50+ year legacy to provide unmatched customer service!
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
Generate sales leads during service calls
Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred.
A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
Willingness to work overtime
Possession of a valid driver's license with good driving record
Must pass drug-screen and background check
Strong communication skills
Proven commitment to safety
Comfort with working at heights
Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
Crane maintenance experience a plus.
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
On call or Overtime possible

Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently, critical thinking is a must for this job

The Job

Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility.

Maintain the physical condition of the hotel according to established operating and safety standards, ensuring that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner.
Check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.
Provide guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, General Manager, and Executive Housekeeper.
Respond in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.

The MaintenanceTechnician is responsible for performing and assisting with property maintenance and repairs.
Essential Functions
Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, meeting rooms and lobby area.
Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
Maintain the physical condition of the hotel according to established operating and safety standards, ensuring that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner.
Check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.
Provide guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, General Manager, and Executive Housekeeper.
Perform general carpentry, tiling, painting and wall surface repairs.
Respond in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.

A Field Service Technician repairs a wide range of material handling equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, floor care equipment and more.
You will have a specific coverage area where you will do preventative maintenance and repair work on the customers fleet. You will act as the point of contact between the company and our customers and represent the company in a professional light as you provide the best in mechanical services and customer service.
As a Forklift Field Service Technician, you will manage your job as though it were a small business. You will be dispatched to jobs from your home using a company van and will coordinate and report on your jobs via a laptop.
Specific Duties
Actively support, promote and lead safety initiatives. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Work safe at all times and report any unsafe work or work environments to management.
Troubleshooting customer equipment problems and conferring with and getting approval from customer before making repairs
Maintaining your own parts inventory based on the parts you carry in your van.
Completing and submitting all required paperwork
Providing the best possible customer service, including offering additional Wiese services, added-value items and equipment based on potential customer needs
Managing your workload effectively
Qualifications

Strong multitasking and time management skills. Able to prioritize your day and self-manage.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch/crawl in confined areas. Comfortable with heights above 15 feet.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Working knowledge of computer systems and able to quickly learn our software to complete online work orders.
Demonstratable customer service skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
