Job DescriptionThe AirTrain Agent is responsible for customer service to the public on trains and in stations. This position is responsible for information and customer assistance, recovery and retrieval of failed trains, limited mechanical/electrical fault correction on in-service trains and fare collection equipment, emergency response, customer evacuation, crowd control and fare collection activities as well as inspection of station emergency equipment; other minor custodial duties as assigned. Provide a visual presence on the trains and in stations, so as to support customer safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides support for customer service, maintenance, contractors, special events and all other activities related to the delivery of safe and efficient customer service.

Manages disruptions to customer service through efficient crowd control and the recovery and retrieval of failed trains.

Advises the Operations Center of any condition that affects or could affect the safe passage of trains or customers.

Perform any duties required to support T&C start-up operations.

Manages emergencies in accordance with established procedures through immediate response and quick action in assisting customers to ensure their safety.

Inspects and tests station and train equipment assuring that all are operational, troubleshooting any malfunction which can be resolved without the aid of a technician.

Maintains the required level of knowledge by participating in training, re-training, certification, re-certification and examinations as required by the Field Operations qualifications program.

Operates trains for the purpose of coupling/uncoupling, re-entry, position adjustment and any other manual train movement as directed by the Operations Center.

Performs fare collection support activities in stations accurately documenting all pertinent information for MTA.

Inspects and tests station and fare collection equipment assuring that all are operational, troubleshooting any malfunction that can be resolved without the aid of a technician.

Qualifications:

Experience in customer service preferred. Ability to work variable hours and at different locations throughout the AirTrain system. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with others. Ability to make independent judgements and take action within established guidelines. Ability to troubleshoot minor faults on trains and in stations.

A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

A Valid Drivers License.

Physical Demands:

Must have the agility to board and alight trains from/to ground level (3-4 feet from ground to door height).

Must have the ability to perform the above functions while remaining on their feet for long periods of time (as long as 2 to 3 hours continuously).

Ten Year background check for Non- Aeronautical Operations Area ID Card (Non-AOA ID)

The Cargo Warehouse Agent is responsible for marshaling in and pushing back the aircraft, operating ground service equipment (GSE), loading and unloading cargo on and off aircraft, transporting cargo between warehouse and aircraft, receiving, delivering, and physical handling freight and company material at the warehouse. Perform build-up and breakdown of cargo safely within required timeframes and complete paperwork needed to get the job done, ensuring on-time departures of aircraft and trucks.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates, including cleaning and servicing of the aircraft interior.
• Operate ground equipment, including K-loaders, tugs, belt loaders, and forklifts.
• Load/unload air cargo from/to trucks.
• Prepare and palletize cargo as needed.
• Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is correct.
• Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning of facilities, work areas, and ramp.
• Ensure ramp areas are safe and free of FOD and that all ground equipment is properly maintained.
• Follow safety regulations which include the proper use of ground equipment and wearing proper safety items.
• Able to communicate using a two-way radio.
• All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment. Must be able to carry the 50-pound box from the floor to 18 inches and carry 50-pound box in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and the ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

*Job Summary: *

Responsible for handling cargo throughput in both import and export operations.

*Duties and Responsibilities: *
* Adhere to all safety rules and communicate any safety issue or property damage immediately to a supervisor or manager. Wear a safety vest at all times while on duty.
* Transfer and move cargo within our warehouse and other facilities on the airport as required to fulfill the company's handling obligations.
* Check documentation for instructions such as: priority breakdown or special handling requirements, etc.
* Unload and verify receipt of all manifested cargo while notating any deviations in cargo manifested against the cargo received. Separate, placard and store in specified import locations.
* Perform inventories of import cargo, as required,and generate export post flight on-hand lists as requested.
* Receive, verify piece counts, check/confirm weight, check for damage and take dimensions of export cargo. Store for exportation and loading in designated areas by destination and carrier.
* Process import deliveries as noted on the delivery authorization document(s) ensuring accuracy of the piece count and importing customer information.
* Load export cargo (by checking the booking list) on/in carrier Unit Load Devices (ULD's) securing freight for shipment using nets and tie-down equipment. Ensure the build-up of cargo is in a configuration compatible to the carrier's aircraft.
* General housekeeping in warehouse, maintenance and ramp areas, empty trash cans.
* Communicate to lead or supervisor materials/equipment needs, based upon supplies on hand and equipment operation, including reporting on defective, disabled equipment.
* Operate forklift, tugs, transporters and all related ground equipment, subsequent to certification that appropriate training has been completed.
* Perform inspection of equipment before and after use.
* Demonstrate diligence required to maintain security under any airport authority including the Badge Office, Airport Police, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and United States Customs/Border Protection (USCBP) Regulations. You will challenge any and all persons not displaying an airport I.D. badge within a WFS warehouse or any Airport Operational Area. (AOA).
* Successfully complete, with a passing mark, assigned training as required by Mercury and regulatory agencies in order to perform assigned tasks.
* Maintain records and appointments necessary for employment on the airport such as: airport badge appointments, USCBP interviews or other government required meetings.

* Must be at least 18 years of age if the position requires driving cargo handling equipment
