Work Scope
HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics will be working on commercial projects throughout the Dayton, OH area, including school facilities and a military airbase.
Duties include:
* Commercial sheet metal installation
* Working on rooftop units, spiral pipe, and ductwork installs
* Layout, hanging, and securing duct systems
* Working from prints and jobsite layout
* Traveling between multiple projects as needed
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Requirements
* 5-10 years of commercial sheet metal experience required
* Strong experience with rooftops, spiral pipe, and ductwork installation
* Must be able to pass school background checks
* Must be able to gain military airbase access (no felonies)
* Ability to read and follow prints
* Must bring required HVAC/sheet metal hand tools
* Must have standard PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, work boots)

Under the supervision of a Field Foreman, the HVAC Sheet Metal Installers is responsible for the prepping for, and installation of prefabricated commercial HVAC ductwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Install commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems.
Fabricate sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other fabrication tools as needed.
Install hangers, supports, and equipment following engineered plans and mechanical drawings.
Set rooftop units, VAV boxes, air handlers, and other HVAC equipment.
