This role is critical in ensuring smooth onboarding of new jobs, validating processes handed off by R\&D, and maintaining sustainable production practices. Additionally, the Process Technician will provide technical support to ensure products remain in spec, lead quality and efficiency improvements, and assist with new product development initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable. Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies. Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials. This position is an essential part of Sherwin's manufacturing team. Maintain ATE and computer hardware, conduct routine and emergency maintenance to ensure high availability to develop, maintain, and install upgrades to software on assigned product lines. Maintain Final Test work instructions in a controlled format, up-rev as required. Interface with ES&S, Engineering, Service Techs and others to replicate/troubleshoot field failures. Revise test code/work instructions to screen for failure if possible, interface with Engineering and others to develop/revise test code and equipment for new and transferred product, and assist Quality Engineers in developing test methods. Our Production Technicians also clean/prep small metal parts and larger molds, as well as cross train to operate coating room machines/equipment.Location:Niles, OHType:On-site Responsibilities • Production Technicians work in a warehouse/industrial environment • Production Technicians use their hands to wire (fixture), de-wire (de-fixture), inspect, clean, and pack customer parts (metal parts, such as injection molds, gun slides, gears, pinions, knife blades, etc.) • After training, Production Technicians will perform job duties independently, with little supervision • Production Technicians must keep their work environment clean and safe and must wear appropriate PPE (glasses, gloves and mask when needed) • Production Technicians must be able to lift 50lbs. (solo lift) and 50+ lbs. Job Description Responsible for all extrusion activities activities during the shift and to maintain high morale and work standards and strive to achieve company goals. Responsibilities: For all production positions, it is understood that all will be responsible for housekeeping of work areas, assisting with clean downs, following the Quality plans, following proper safety procedures, wearing the proper personal protective equipment, waste and yield loss control, understanding of related safety procedures and ISO guidelines, completion of all documentation, proper material handling procedures, following good manufacturing practices, and coverage of the other positions for breaks, lunches and vacation/sick, as deemed necessary by the Production Supervisor. Extruder Operator - Will operate extruders, troubleshoot, perform clean downs, make packaging labels, build packaging, handle repacks, move FG packages to staging area, do PPG SPC, housekeeping, process optimization, completing production documentation, setting up and documenting SOCs. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Plastics knowledge, preferably with extruder and twin screw knowledge. Must be safety conscious, adaptable, and dependable. Kitchen: Responsible for having the basic knowledge of all daily operations in an edible and cannabis infused kitchen. Assisting in the preparing food items and other culinary activities as directed by the kitchen manager. Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and operating all equipment safely in its intended manner.
